Gang’s all here: check out these rows of our Ring bike rack at @greatparkice. Ring is a simple circle hovering over the ground - it fits right in with this California-cool ice rink entrance.⠀

I played this for about six hours straight last night.. Building a new amusement park, expanding existing neighborhoods and building entirely new ones. Much like Civilization it is easy for me to get carried away with this stuff! Just one more turn! #citiesskylines#citiesskylinesgame#urbanplanning
I have a feeling we're not in New York anymore. They named it The Vessel, but is it really? Thinking about more appropriate names for this new futuristic West side toy:
Beehive of activity? Urban marvel? Robot’s ribcage? Giant shawarma? SpongeBob’s pineapple house?
The list can go on and on akin to one’s imagination. Majoring in urban planning and being a long time NYC lover, I’d love to know your opinion on this contemporary panopticon #thevesselnyc#urbanart

Stations on the old IND Eighth Avenue line (today’s A, C,E, B, D trains) have visual cues to help riders identify which stations they’re at as they move through the system. 🚇

We rented Divvy bikes and rode the 606! And if you know what that means then you’re either from Chicago or have spent some time here. The Divvy bikes are the city share system, and the 606 is kind of Chicago’s High Line. I say ‘kind of’ because the 606 trail is used primarily for walking and bike riding, while the High Line is now just a cramped corridor where you have to dodge selfie-obsessed tourists. The Bloomingdale Line was a 2.7-mile elevated railroad running east-west on the northwest side of Chicago but in 2015, the City of Chicago converted it into an elevated greenway called The Bloomingdale Trail, which forms the backbone of the linear park and trail network called The 606. Expensive condos are popping up all over. When in Chicago, try getting over to Logan Square and then it’s an easy stroll or bike into Bucktown/Wicker Park on the beautiful 606. #the606#the606chicago#bloomingdaletrail#logansquare#bucktown#wickerpark#divvy#chicago#urbanplanning#urbanreclamation#awguideschicago
When we talk of being surrounded by water, ISLANDS come to our mind.
And, when we think of ISLANDS, not all are accessible to humans- perhaps for their (and earth's) own good.
Vryonisi also is known as Prasonisi (Greek: Πρασονήσι, "leek island"), is an uninhabited Greek islet, in the Aegean Sea, close to the northern coast of eastern Crete. Administratively, it lies within the Agios Nikolaos municipality of Lasithi and off the coast of the island, you find a half-submerged ship.
What is interesting to note is that ancient Greece believed sea as a "point of no return" which scientists now reveal is not associated with dangers of the voyage, but a "garbology" approach where whatever you throw in the sea, will never return.
Have you heard of this "garbology" approach? Where? What do you think of it when we talk about the environment, sustainability and OUR future?
