Stepping into the master suite. This is one of our favourite views from the entire #leclairwestmount project! The room had wall to wall carpet which we obviously ripped up. We kept the window bench with a new upholstered cushion topped with our fav designer pillows. We also totally reconfigured the layout of the closet and master bath here but we'll get into that in the next posts. Sources are tagged and that gorgeous painting is an original. Don't forget to check our stories tonight as we'll be showing you some behind the scenes videos! 🙌🏻🎬
Final train of 6 on my way home and not a bad time for me today; if I’m really lucky I will catch the last rays in the garden with a glass of something chilled and then it’s working my way into the weekend and countdown to a week off 🙌🏻
Can’t begin to explain how ready I am for this
Country interiors with our Umbrian brushed and hand dressed limestone tiles. We love this charming farmhouse with its oak frame and antique wood bench - working perfectly with the warm, olive tones of our Umbrian limestone. #mystonefloor

Some new products from the American Folk Collection - Andes and Paracas cushions 💙Sofa, table, and throw from @johnlewisretail
Often when you see a beautiful house in a magazine, the ‘layering’ is a key part of the success. “Layering” is meant to avoid a space to look flat and dull by creating visual interest, texture and depth. An example is to combine different textures and shapes in a room, like the combination of this leather sofa (great material when having kids) and the various sizes and fabric types of the cushions. In my Stories, I have added a guide from @myparadissi who is a master in mixing and matching. Check it out 🙃 have a lovely and productive last day before half term.

The last couple of weeks have been so nutty around here, I feel like I’m just barely getting my footing again. Here’s hoping I can get my crap together now that summer is here and actually start accomplishing things again! 💪🏻🤞🏻 #email@example.comfirstname.lastname@example.org (Hilarious quote via @lorihetteen)

Take a gander at this gorgeous living room, open to both the kitchen and dining areas of the new Hartness model home. @idstudiointeriors outdid themselves on this one and we’re glad to have done the window fashions and custom bedding for the home. 📷:// @hartnessliving
I’m not going to lie... I had a little too much rose last night so instead of packing for Spain I’m currently lying in the bath with candles and my Pukka three mint tea. Hopefully this will bring me back to life!

“We call it ‘the porch of wisdom’ as there has been much wine drunk and plenty of discussions over the years.” - Dela-Rose owner, Judy, knows the power of a deck with a view!
“There are verandas most of the way around the house and a huge undercover alfresco area,” she said.

More pictures have gone up in the bathroom. When I first painted this room I didn’t like the pink now i love it 💞💞💞
Brand new Andes Wallpaper is part of our new American Folk Collection. Inspired by traditional south American designs, and richly decorated with stylised flora 💙
This is one of my favorite shots of our bedroom from a few years ago. Our stair treads are unfinished and used to have carpet on them that was ripped out before we bought the house. So they’re ugly and unfinished and in this photo you can see I nailed a rug to the steps and I loved that look but I’ve got some schemes for a new way to finish out these stairs in a more legit way 😁
In other news: regrets forever that I let this peacock chair go when we moved to Alaska because I loved it and we found it for free on the side of the road. 😭
We’re getting so close to the end of our first ever #instachallenge! Day 11’s clue: this tree belongs is prized for its nitrogen-fixing properties. Nitrogen is one of 3 main elements in fertiliser. Nitrogen-fixing plants are those whose roots are colonized by bacteria that extract nitrogen from the air and convert it to a usable form. The presence of nitrogen in soil facilitates higher rates of photosynthesis, which encourages better plant growth.

It’s Zee’s “I gotcha” weekend coming up!! I couldn’t have picked a better dog out. She sticks to me like Velcro and I LOVE every moment of it. I NEVER EVER thought I’d want a pitbull and here I am still obsessed three years later 🐶🐶
The before and after. Or technically the before and middle. The after will be when all of my climbers climb up the strings and create a wall of beauty.
It’s not #throwback Thursday or anything... but for some reason I’ve spent most of this morning looking back and thinking about what I’ve done and “where I’ve been” so far this year.
When I say where I’ve been... obviously you guys know I don’t leave the house much. 😂 I just mean mentally. Where my mind has been & the things I’ve dreamed up for myself. On a good day, I’m taking over the world, and on a bad day... I’m doubting myself like crazy. 🤷🏼♀️
Here’s to more GOOD DAYS! .
Also really taking in the feels of this picture. I made most of these pieces in a short amount of time for a quick shop update... and this was my idea of a photoshoot.
Fast forward only THREE months and I’m getting ready for a “real” in home photoshoot for a professional website.
I’m nervous AF! And I’m also really proud. Not to say I’ll never do an impromptu iPhone shoot on this scuffed up wall again or anything.
But I’m getting ready to dive into uncharted waters and make the most of a new opportunity and I’m brave enough to attempt to crush a goal that I didn’t even know I had.
Does that make sense!? I guess what I’m saying is....
YOU GO GIRL. ...to myself, and to anyone else chipping away at a dream. 🙌🏻❤️
I forgot the before photo! The first thing that changed when I started working on this place were the flakey doors. I’m all for a pop-of colour but the peeling Barney purple was not doing it for me. Here’s a mid-way pic and the final result🚪strip, sand, paint.
