"The 1975 are a Manchester boyband with their pulse on the millennial zeitgeist. ⠀
With their first album propelling them into stardom with the hit song ‘Chocolate’ and their latest album, ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships’, awarding them critical acclaim including The Brit Award Album of The Year. ‘I like It When You Sleep…’ is the second album from The 1975 and my personal favourite from the group. Now with a more refined production from their first album and a prominent pop-synth sound, this is where I fell in love with the band.⠀
But this does not mean they shy away from their standard adult themes; drug induced psychosis, dead grandparents and social media addiction, there’s plenty to chew on for substance. ⠀
‘I like It When You Sleep…’ has undoubtedly the most hits, ‘Love Me’, ‘The Sound’, ’UGH!’, ‘A Change Of Heart’, ‘Somebody Else’, ’She’s American’ and ‘Paris’ - most of which have music videos and are my personal favourites to date." - Ben⠀

The Rolling Stones „Bridges to Bremen“, released in 2019. I just couldn’t believe it when this album was announced: The Stones’ 1998 concert in Bremen gets an official release! I was born near Bremen, lived in the city for five years, still live nearby and hope to move there sometime in the future. I had seen the Stones a couple of times before this concert, and it was a time when I said I wouldn’t go to any concert with ticket prices over 100 DM (1998 was four years prior to the introduction of the Euro). So ridiculously funny compared to prices I was willing to pay in the future! 😂 Anyway, a friend and I decided to enjoy the concert sitting on the dyke right beside the Weserstadion (my favourite football club’s - Werder Bremen - stadium). We heard every single note when the Stones opened their set with “Satisfaction”. I just returned to our ‘special seats’ when we noticed that a gate had been opened and lots of people rushing in there. The ticket sales had been poor and because the concert was broadcasted on TV they let the fans in for free to get the arena filled. And we managed to get inside too! We only missed one song and half of “Let’s Spend The Night Together”. So this album is a great (and totally unexpected) souvenir from that night. The setlist was quite cool.
