Like the whole landscape photography community I was incredibly saddened and shocked to hear the news of the passing of Dale Sharp of @dkphotographyau, an incredibly talented landscape and nightscape photographer who I regarded as one of Australia's best. He was taken far too soon as the result of a tragic accident. I met him randomly at Horse Head Rock and was standing next to him as I took this very shot. My thoughts go out to Karlie and his family. His passion for photography and life in general will be sorely missed.

I've seen some amazing things from the air and seeing the epic seacliffs of Tasman Island and Cape Pillar from this perspective was right up there with the best. A stunning morning to be out flying over Tasmania's icons.
Stunning dawn light at Cape Pillar on the Three Capes Lodge Walk, looking across some of the tallest cliffs in the southern hemisphere.

Would you visit this place if you couldn’t take a photo? Some places in Tasmania are extremely remote and are only accessible by multi day hikes by the fit and ultra prepared. They also have sensitive plant communities that can be easily damaged by careless footprints. Are these the sorts of things you think about before you travel?
There’s expected to be 1.8bn global tourist arrivals by 2030. It’s the responsibility of policymakers to ensure this growth is sustainable, but also on us as travellers to be mindful of our impact on the people and places we visit.
@Kathmandugear have a series of short documentaries that discuss this dilemma. New research from Kathmandu has found: • 32% of Australian travellers believe we’re viewed as the world’s best travellers • 46% of Aussies travelled to tick places off their bucket list • 57% of Millennials visited an overseas destination inspired by social media
• Just 1 in 4 have sought authentic, local travel experiences including food and culture, while 28% actively avoid destinations that push them out of their comfort zones

If you've seen my insta stories you'll know I've been lucky enough to try Wacom's new Cintiq 16 tablet. I've found it to be an amazing companion to my photo editing, with this shot from the Tessellated Pavement being one example of the outputs. There's a huge advantage in being able to paint directly onto the image you're editing using the Wacom Pro Pen 2. I'm really excited about adding this device to my post processing workflow. #wacom#madewithwacom@wacom@wacomanz#spon

It seems the east coast of Australia has been treated to some pretty amazing sunrises of late and down here in Hobart it has been no exception. Here's a pretty spectacular moment from Monday, shot with the @laowa.au 10-18mm at 10mm. Hope you're having a great weekend!

With the weather cooling down it sure feels like winter is fast approaching. Here's a moment of winter morning colour at Dead Horse Gap in the Snowy Mountains. Who else is keen on seeing the snow again!?

The sheer power of nature is a work of art. It requires no augmentation, just appreciation.

The incredible Hill Inlet on Whitsunday Island, some views seem to be too perfect to be true. I realised the other day that I have a thing for islands, anyone else feel the same?
