Does it happen to you that you run out of ideas while trying to think outside the box? Since this morning I've been racking my brains all day but couldn't come up with an idea for #WHPhidden. I guess now I am just going to clean my living room which has turned into an intricate labyrinth of boxes, and later binge watch new episodes of orange is the new black. How are you enjoying your Sunday? #selfportrait

I am a bit late for this, but before I go into my digital detox and nerd mode again, here is a big hug to my 5k Insta Fam! I don't know if these numbers are enough to celebrate but in this Instagram race of followers, likes, bots, and engagement groups, where everyone is running without even knowing about the finish line, I am glad that we grew organically. You and I, we've been part of each other's lives, laughing together, sharing thoughts and comforting each other in tough situations. I'll be honest, initially, I was really skeptical about this whole idea of making my profile public and sharing my life openly with strangers, but you all helped me to achieve this. From the beginning of my journey as a blogger, I have always treated each and every follower as a friend, a person who chose to be a part of my life and even if I make a difference in one person's life in the smallest possible way through my posts, I feel the happiest.
Thank you for being a part of my journey and letting me be a part of yours, accepting my most hilarious ideas and vivid imaginations, leaving heartfelt comments and touching DMs, and letting me improve each and every day. Being very active here, maintaining a travel blog with my actual profession (as a software engineer) was not possible without all your appreciation. Nothing I say will ever be enough to express my gratitude so I'll leave it at a big warm Thank You.
Lots of love and hugs to each and every one of you 🧡

While scrolling through your insta-feed, do you constantly keep complaining about Instagrammer’s rose-tinted and airbrushed reality or envy of photographer’s idyllic life? There’s something so important to keep in mind when you compare your life with some stranger on Instagram – what you’re seeing are the edited highlights of a person’s life, not a factual, minute by minute documentary. The person who has a perfect Instagram-life with a high follower count, photogenic family, busy social life and beautifully styled home also has work-life stress, family matters, just like any other person. It's just the matter of what one chooses to show. And it totally varies from person to person. If you ask my opinion, I would any day prefer to show a pretty shot of a bunch of fresh flowers on a clear table rather than the pile of dirty plates on the other end of the table. Because that's what this platform is for, to spread positivity and share happiness. If I have to quickly rewind this whole year, my collection of happy and adventurous memories came with a lot of sleepless nights of studying, working and struggling to maintain perfect work-life balance, late-night tours of an emergency room, little homesickness and pressure that comes with a constant desire to excel in everything. But every time I faced any issue, I chose to post one happy picture here. Not just to make others happy (not at all to rub it in everyone's faces what a lovely time I am having) but to motivate my own self to reach that level of happiness again. Deep down we all know that no-one’s life is perfect. At the end of the day, if my tiny post could make at least one person in this world smile, then I would consider myself as a real Instagrammer. @instagram#instgram

It's crazy just how much light can make or break an image. @jaiwalkinn and I spent an entire evening shooting around this area, capturing perfect San Francisco skyline. We walked around looking for unique composition when out of nowhere the famous SF fog @karlthefog (Oh yes, fog has a name) cleared up just enough and this incredible sunlight broke through the sky, shining a perfect spotlight on waves, creating this amazing silhouette. #WHPlight@instagram

Remember the game of ❌ & ⭕️? In high school, we all had mastered the art of playing Tic Tac Toe while maintaining eye contact with the teacher, pretending to understand every single word they’re uttering!😆
I remember always picking ❌ and starting the game by putting it into the middle square. What was your trick?
