If you're reading this, there's a chance you might be procrastinating. We all do, right?
Well, it turns out maybe that's not such a terrible thing. In a #TEDx talk featured on the TED Ideas series “How to Be a Better Human" (link in bio), Rory Vaden, a Nashville-based leadership consultant asks the question, “How is it that we have more tips, tricks, tools, technology, calendars and checklists than ever before, and yet we still always seem to be behind?”
The answer: “It’s because everything you know about time management is wrong.”
Be sure to check out the entire talk on the Ideas blog. And stay tuned, we'll have more talks to share in February! #tedx#tedxspeaker#tedxdouglasville#procrastination#georgia

When we say #TEDx events happen everywhere, we mean it!
We recently reached out to Johanna Lindberg, organizer of TEDxArjeplog this past December. Arjeplog is located in the province of Lapland, Sweden. This is what she told us: “Since I attended the first @TEDxStockholm, I always wanted to organize a TEDx event. Now it was possible. I was old enough to have a good network and was able to find all the fantastic speakers. In Arjeplog everything practical was possible. The theme was Rural Arctic I.C.E.
Rural arctic is so inspiring, people are creative and entrepreneurship is a must. My contacts with Hotel Silverhatten made the location possible; they helped me scoop up a big snow heap that we could make a scene of. My son and husband helped me to make the scene, and the design kind of formed itself. Silverhatten also let me use the wooden hut next to the scene for our breaks and discussions. My employer let me use parts of my working time for planning. The TEDx concept also helps you find the best filmmaker, not for free, but cheap. But most of all the weather was on our side. A week before the event there was no snow, the day before the event it was foggy and the day after it was -27 degrees Celsius. On the 11 of December (the day of the event) it was around -13 C and clear skies! Around 40 people came to the event. #tedx#tedxstockholm@silverresort#tedxspeaker#tedxvenue#tedxlogo#arjeplog#arctic#sweden#sweden🇸🇪 #snow ☃️☃️🌨❄️
On December 1, 2018, roughly 500 people attended @tedxtum or, Technical University of Munich. Held at the Audimax, the theme was Conscious Reflection. As #tedxtum described it: “Although it’s easy to only see our differences, let’s remember that underneath there are similar, profoundly human desires: to be heard, to be respected, to be needed, to belong. If we recognize that we as individuals influence our community and that everyone contributes in their own way, how much better could our collaboration become? Could we inflict positive change through our mindsets and actions and find our place in the bigger picture?
At TEDxTUM 2018 we invited you to take that much needed time to stop and reflect, deliberately and consciously, on ideas from a variety of fields and disciplines.” In this photo: speaker Xiaoxiang Zhu #tedx#tedxspeaker#tedxvenue#tedxlogo#munich#germany🇩🇪 📷Fjoralba Golikja
