Headaches? Sore feet?
Here are some self care practices with a Lacrosse ball / Trigger Point ball that take less than 10 minutes to complete. It should help loosen overworked muscles and get you back to enjoying your vacation.
1️⃣ Suboccipital Release
Do you ever get headaches from temperature changes? Going from 12°C ➡️ 30°C can be pretty hard on the body, especially if it is not used to it.
Travelling itself can be pretty stressful; from delays to planning your next stop. This is a release that can help with all of the above.
You can do this release lying down or standing up against a wall. I wrapped the ball around with a towel to help decrease slippage.
Apply a backward pressure from where your neck meets your skull. Now, slowly roll the ball to the left and right side of the neck. If you want to increase the intensity of this release, tuck your chin down (make a double chin) and bring your neck back to neutral. This may be more difficult to do while standing up so I like to do this while lying down.
Do this release for 30 seconds to 1 minute 1-2x / day.
2️⃣ Rolling out the bottoms of the feet
When I go travelling, I like to explore the city on foot versus taking a taxi / uber. With that comes a lot of stress on my feet. Rolling out the bottoms of your feet with a hard ball helps decrease the tension that's built up from overuse. This release can have your feet feeling recharged for the next outing.
Apply a slow steady downward pressure on the ball. In this video, I'm using my hands to push down on my left thigh to create more pressure. Be sure to address the inside and the outside of the foot as well.
Do this exercise for 3-5 minutes each for 1-2x / day.

What do you feel when your eyes contemplate what you dreamed so much?
In "La Guajira" almost closing my route I could reach Punta Gallinas after 3 h of land transport, after crossing the Caribbean Sea 4 min arrived at @hospedajealexandra and from there set out to find the attractions of this place. The last We visited in the morning was the one that I dreamed for almost 15 years: the dunes of taroa😍. I think it was a unique and special moment where my eyes marveled with the contrast of the gold of its sand and that blue sky that invites you to dream, it was perfect to see its turquoise sea and swim in the middle of its strong waves where yes, I swallowed water! 😂 I ascended the dunes slowly because it feels like the road is difficult because of the fine sand and the strong wind, when I reached the top I only thought about the magic of dreams, but the great thing is to make them come true. I fell in love with this department of my beautiful Colombia and I know I'll be back soon. Let's go on June!
Another alley somewhere between old walls that speak history or tell stories that have seen. Always amazed by them and this one is added to the collection. Fear no shades, fear no dark, somewhere beyond there is always light..
Often we ask each other questions regarding our preferences opinions etc, the primary reason is supposed to be because we want to know the other person better, maybe even group them or label them, and of course what we might not be aware of is that at the same time we might wanna know a little bit more about ourselves as well. Where are we standing? What kind of person can we be called? Maybe our style can tell something or maybe even what we say at some point.. Yes everything does make a difference but the funniest part to me is that I have realized that in reality we do not belong to any group or category unless we place ourselves in one.. Me? Haven't made up my mind yet where do I wanna belong. Still cannot label my style, my thoughts and either my actions... For now I'm being and doing everything depending on the day and on the moon
