The name of the city La Fortuna has an incredible story behind.
After hundreds of years of dormancy, Arenal volcano unexpectedly erupted on July 29,1968 destroying 3 towns.
However, one town called El Burio on the eastern side was incredibly lucky and didn’t get damaged. El Burio, which already felt very lucky due to its fertile farming soil changed its name to La Fortuna (the fortunate), further indicating how lucky they were to escape any harm.
I don't know if you believe this kind of stories, but coincidence or not, the second day in La Fortuna one of my projects jumped from almost being abandoned to number 1 source of income. 🙆🙏 So I believe the story. 😄
There's something attractive about making people temporarily forget their actual age by taking them out of their normal lives so completely. Doesn't travel, by its very nature, strive to do this? — Lawrence Osborne
Loved the Supertrees, climbing above most of the surrounding area. The lights on the trees make them stand out and the light show was amazing, which is a different theme every night.
Singapore is one of the best cities we have been to for exploring, just because of the amount of things to do and see.
