If you know me at all you know I love to learn, starting when I was just a kid, I would hang out with anyone older than me to learn a thing or two. Early on in my adult career I loved working with journeyman who were willing to share.....I still do. I loved getting to know them and learning as much as I could. Meet Fred my neighbor. Fred is a bad ass. Fred was a transmission guy at a dealership from 1961 through the 90s when he started doing fab work for a profession, he took on building aircraft seats in his home shop with his wife for many years. He has been kind enough to help me with a few things and offer to teach me a thing or two about machining. The world needs more people like Fred. #dostuff #machinist #fabricator #lathe #mentor

That’s awesome! We are in the midst of losing a generation of craftsman not likely to ever be replaced in this country.

Unfortunately, people like Fred are few and far between. So many things seem like a lost art when you look at where todays society is going.
