Last year, you helped us raise nearly $37,000 to help protect vulnerable habitats across Ontario!
Your support made a huge difference. We were able to: > Plant pollinator-friendly habitats > Improve the flow of water for fish > Plant trees to create habitat for sensitive birds > Recreate habitat for turtles
#GivingTuesdayCA is just around the corner and we’re hoping we can count on your support again this year.
We are calling for the government meet our international commitment to protect at least 17% of our lands and inland waters by 2020. Currently, less than 11% of Ontario is protected. Your support this Giving Tuesday will help us push to reach this target and protect the places we love across Ontario.
Multiply your donation by 2! Every dollar raised will be matched by our proud sponsor @opgpics. Double your impact for #ProtectedPlaces.

Today is #WorldSnakeDay!
This snake is one of the gray ratsnakes we're tracking as part of our Norfolk Snake Project.
The goal of this project is to fill the knowledge gaps about gray ratsnakes and eastern foxsnakes in the area.
Gaining a better understanding of the species' movement patterns will help assess the distribution and size of these endangered subpopulations and help guide future efforts to protect their habitat.
Thank you to our partner in this project, Natural Resource Solution Inc.

Boreal #caribou are classified as threatened but forestry lobbyists are ignoring this reality.
They deny that logging is contributing to their decline and are stalling recovery efforts.
Join us and @davidsuzukifdn to protect caribou: protectcaribou.ca (link in our bio). #cariboudenial

Ontario Nature’s Dr. Julee Boan and four other scientists published peer-reviewed research outing some in the logging industry for their misinformation campaign about at-risk boreal caribou, which uses the climate change denial playbook.
