A moment of pure bliss in the heart of Washington. There’s something so fulfilling about waking up in the early hours and watching the sun rise above the mountain tops. As the the rising sun radiates warmth and the air still crisp, you can’t help it but share a smile. With spring and summer on the way, I’m excited to be spending more time outdoors and exploring Washington once again. #BrilliantPortrait#oppof11pro@oppo

Over the past couple of months, I’ve had to deal with unimaginable things. Losing someone that you hold so close to your heart brings pain and sorrow, but through it all, there is a silver lining. Over the 23 years that I’ve been alive, my father taught me many things, but one thing that I’m reminded of most, is to be appreciative of the life were given. My father sacrificed so much to give me the opportunity to pursue whatever I dreamt of. And that was photography. During these past three years, I’ve been able to pursue my passion and document moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life. All of this is because of my father, and I will forever be thankful for that. Being “present” is the most important thing we can do, so cherish every single day like it’s your last and just know that things will get better if you’re not in the best place.

One of the things that I want to work on this coming year is to be an open book when it comes to photography and life itself. The thing about Instagram is that only the highlights of our lives are shown and nothing else. But at the end of the day, we’re all humans and we’re here to help each other out. These past two weeks haven’t been the easiest for me. My father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and my heart is broken. Over the past 5 years, I’ve lost too many people that meant everything to me, but through this all, I’m reminded of how little time we have and how important it truly is to live a fulfilling life. For now, I’ll be taking a break from social media and photography to spend time with my family. I’m hurting right now, but just know I’ll be back stronger than ever. - Bill

Hiking through the sun kissed trees while the birds sing their morning songs. This is one of my favorite times to walk through the forest. The morning air still crisp, while the rising sun radiates warmth.

During our trip to Banff, most of our days were spent driving due to how spread out all the locations are in Alberta. Usually I can't stay in a car for long, but having views like this at every bend of the road made the drive enjoyable and the time go by quickly.

Over the past couple of the days, I’ve been reminded how uncertain the future is. Life is such a fragile thing and we tend to forget that. But after thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that we shouldn’t be afraid of uncertainty, but to embrace it and everything that it brings. One thing that is certain, is that we should cherish all the moments spent with our families and friends and never pass on the opportunities that are presented to us. There is so much to be thankful for and even though the circumstances of why I’m reminded of this is painful, I once again understand the meaning of “being present”. We knew there was heavy snow in the forecast, but we still decided to hike anyways. With thick jackets and waterproof boots, the snow didn’t bother us. It seemed like @jeraldmcdermott dog was enjoying it the most, running up and down the trail and jumping through the fresh powder that accumulated on the way up.

Life isn’t perfect, but it sure does have perfect moments.

As another chapter of my life comes to a close, there’s so much to be thankful for. Four years ago, I purchased my first camera, but little did I know that this decision would impact my life in so many ways. For me, the photos that I take are more than just photographs. They’re a way for me to look back and remember when there was a time when these weren’t just memories. That these beautiful moments were happening right in front of me. During these past four years, I’ve met so many amazing individuals, traveled and found appreciation for how beautiful this world is, and lastly, found a way to live my life with no regrets. So I want to say thank you to every individual for being so supportive throughout all the highs and lows and making this all possible. Cheers to another beautiful year of life🍻

Some moments seem to last longer than others. Last year, I traveled to Salt Lake 4 times and each time has been a completely different experience. Till this day, I don’t know why I booked my first flight over, but I’m really glad that I did. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit again this summer and see those breathtaking views and spend time with all my friends that I’ve made over the year.

Paddling through a winter wonderland.. There's something peaceful about watching the snow slowly fall across the lake. All is quiet except the sound of the paddle hitting the water, slowly gliding across the lake.

Looking back on this trip, the only thing @addisentucker and I had planned was that we had to be down in Southern California by a specific date and that the rest was up to us. Usually that would have freak me out, but this trip really taught me that sometimes you just have to let life surprise you. A trip I’ll never forget.
