Here's my grand mum, Alhaja Selimot Oretuga a seasoned wood merchant from, Ijebu Ode she was born on the 4th of August, 1940, she has seven (7) children and fifteen (15) grand children, she saw 5 of her children through school till university level with the proceeds of her wood business. She's popularly known as IYA ALATE.
Till date she sells bundles of wood sticks to clients like "say mummy" who is a popular food vendor and several others.
She makes a lot of profit when parties are happening around and the only technology involved in her business is the Axe.
Her hobbies are taking care of her grand kids and going to the mosque.
She's my "shero", the first of the three generations of wood merchants!
