Celery is truly the savior when it comes to chronic illness. As a child, did you ever wish for a gold star on your paper at school? It wasn’t because you could take it to the pawn shop and get cash for it. You yearned for that cheap sticker because of what it represented: achievement, worthiness, approval.
If you have a grandmother’s favorite locket or ring, again, it’s not the dollar figure behind that gold that gives it a special place in your heart. It’s the spiritual meaning: appreciation, nostalgia, loyalty, love.
And do Olympians go for the gold because of the market value of the metal? No, they spend their whole lives training to win because of what the prize stands for: blood, sweat, tears, spirit, will, intention, and sacrifice that come together into a moment of human greatness.
When spiritual and emotional meaning are connected to a piece of gold or other treasure, its worth is on a level above price tags. The Knights Templar went searching for the Holy Grail not because of the money they’d get for this gold vessel but because of the mystical significance it was said to hold as the cup Jesus drank from at the Last Supper. Though the knights turned up hundreds upon hundreds of gold cups, they were cast off as worthless because they didn’t hold the power. It was all about the spiritual meaning.
I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to go on an epic quest, earn anyone’s approval, inherit a family heirloom, learn to high-jump, or have an overflowing bank account in order to claim the world’s most precious treasure. Gold, platinum, diamonds, sapphires, the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, Noah’s ark, even the Beatles’ lost album—none of these hold a candle to your soul’s gold and gems and jewels that you already carry inside of you.
Yes, you. I know it’s been a struggle to deal with health problems or great loss or hardship. I understand what you might have suffered as you wondered if you were aging before your time, if your thyroid was calling it quits, and if your body was giving up on you—or even working against you.

Just 4 weeks ago i was hardly functioning. I went days without even seeing my kids, because I could hardly get out of bed. I questioned my existence and told my family I couldn't live a life of suffering and if it wasn't for my kids I wouldn't to do it anymore. It was BAD, so bad I have a hard time expressing my feelings about it. I was losing hope and I was so terrified for my children.
TODAY my body allowed me to pick Zoe up from school with Ava in tow and I've been able to do this for a week! This is so huge for me! I am learning how resilient the mind and body are. I want to do ALLLL the things now, but still need to honor my body. My fight is nowhere near over, and I have many symptoms to heal, but I feel alive again! ❤So this is for the person in bed wondering if life will ever get better. It WILL. ❤This is for the person suffering in silence, who feels alone and misunderstood. You are NOT alone.

This book confirmed for me that this year, I was going to take my healing to the next level.
I’ve decided to dedicate this next year to healing my Thyroid. YES! You heard that right. That means weaning off of meds that I’ve been on for 20 years now.
At one point, I wasn’t sure it was possible. Now, I’m more confident than ever.
My next level of healing started just a few weeks ago with a kick-off Detox, because a detox is always an important step in helping your body do its healing thing. We gotta get rid of the gunk (aka toxins) to allow the body to be free to do its healing instead of being in constant clean up mode.

| MIRACULOUS LEAFY GREENS | When we hear the advice, “Eat your veggies,” we often think of classic dinnertime side dishes like carrots, broccoli, peas, and green beans. Leafy greens, on the other hand, are often written off as boring and lesser—the base of a salad in which all the other ingredients are much more interesting. Really, leafy greens such as lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, mâche, and watercress deserve accolades for the power they hold to restore your health. Far from blasé, salad greens are vegetable royalty.
One common misunderstanding is that eaten raw, these greens, labeled “roughage” are difficult to digest. On the contrary, leafy greens are practically predigested and therefore require very little work on the part of your digestive system. What does occur is that these leaves scrub and massage the linings of your stomach, small intestine, and colon, loosening old, trapped yeast, mold, and other types of fungus, along with debris and pockets of waste matter, so they can be carried out, making elimination very productive. Discomfort from eating raw salads is usually due to sensitive nerves or inflammation in the intestinal tract, or the simple sensation of fiber doing its job to “sweep out the chimney.” If this describes you, add butter leaf lettuce, red leaf lettuce, and/or spinach to your daily diet in small amounts.
Over time, leafy greens are wonderful healers of intestinal disorders. They help create a more alkaline stomach composition by raising beneficial hydrochloric acid levels, which in turn kills off the unproductive bacteria that create the bad acids responsible for GERD and other forms of acid reflux. One of the specific types of bacteria that leafy greens reduce is H. pylori, which is often responsible for stomach ulcers.

After 10 years of being on Paxil it was time for me to at least try, so I weened off of this powerful anxiety med that I was on because I use to get panic attacks. When I went off of it, there was so much damage done. The Paxil along with my unhealthy lifestyle had depleted my neurotransmitters. My serotonin, dopamine, and melatonin were some of the lowest the doctors had ever seen.🌴
For 8 months I could not focus on anything. I had very scary irrational thoughts. My head was swarmed with thoughts 24/7 that I couldn’t escape. It was like my head was stuck in a bee hive and the bees were the thoughts and the hive was the dark abyss I was living in. I could only sleep maybe 2-3 hours a night so I couldn’t recover from the extreme amount of adrenaline that was rushing through my body 24/7 feeding a sleeping giant, EBV.(Little did I know at the time.)🌴
This was the fear based stress that caused me to get very sick within just two months of stopping Paxil. I had no choice but to go back on. 7 months later after feeling like nearly dying, I was led to the truth @medicalmedium. Orange Creamsicle Smoothie
2 frozen bananas
1 fresh banana
3 whole chopped oranges, peel and seeds removed*
1-2 cups coconut water
Seeds from 1/4 vanilla bean, or 1 tsp vanilla extract (not essence)
*If you don't have a high-speed blender, you may prefer to try using 1 cup of fresh orange juice as the oranges may not blend smooth.
1. Place coconut water in the blender. Blend with the oranges until smooth.
2. Add the frozen and fresh bananas and vanilla and blend again until very smooth and creamy. If you use only fresh bananas instead of frozen the smoothie will still taste wonderful. It just won't be as creamy and dessert-like.
3. Serve right away and enjoy!

Repost from @getplantstrong_ Feeding my 5 month old grandson a blend of banana, avocado, and water for proper water flow through a slit bottle nipple. Theses are ingredients recommended by @medicalmedium as the next best infant food to breastmilk. He absolutely loves it and whereas he usually only drinks about 6 oz of store bought plant based formula, he will devour an entire bottle of about 10 oz of this homemade blend. He smiles and plays with the nipple bottle when he is full, if he isn’t hungry enough for the entire bottle. It keeps well in the refrigerator until he finishes it later that day.
His digestive system loves the fresh juice and whole food blends. He is well hydrated and recently has started having poppy diapers between almost every bottles. He has beautiful skin and is very attentive and strong. He crawls backwards 🤣 and is able to sit up on his own, and hold his own weight when standing with his arms supported.
