I still remember this moment perfectly.. We stayed at the top of laguna humantay to watch sunset and we walked down in the dark surrounded by this blue fog. The atmosphere was so mysterious. No distraction, only a peaceful and quiet mind — We came back down to the campsite and we ate the best quinoa soup we've ever had. Thinking about it, I really miss hiking in the Andes ☁️

The famous Three Sisters sea stacks —Legend says that Glooscap’s (a legendary figure of the Wabanaki people) sisters kept annoying him and following him around. Fed up, he decided to retreat from the world and turned them into stones to make sure they didn’t follow.. 🌊

The Veins of the Earth — This was on my first day in Nova Scotia and as I was heading to Advocate Harbour, I stumbled upon this hidden river and I just loved it ☁️

The Canadian winter is here — I’m already anticipating the cold days spent exploring and documenting this fascinating season that calls for minimalism. I’m thrilled to see on what adventures I’ll embark on. Children of winter never grow old.. 🌨

A little back story — My intent was to photograph Cape Split at sunset and sunrise. After long hours of driving, I arrived at the trail head at 5 PM and I rushed to eat dinner so that I could start the 3 hours hike and hopefully get there for sunset. Yup, that meant hiking in complete darkness for the walk back. I walked 10 MIN.. and I decided to turn back. It wasn’t a good idea. Anyway, I was still going for sunrise the next morning. Well, to my surprise, I woke up to some heavy rain and winds.. sunrise wasn’t going to happen. I’ll admit I was secretly happy to sleep some more. Nonetheless, I went later in the morning and it was incredible. Breathtaking views off the Bay of Fundy — Note to self: never forget to check the weather forecast 🌨

Peggy's Cove lighthouse, built in 1915 — I slept in my car just in front of that lighthouse being very happy that I’d be able to wake up before sunrise and be so close to this piece of history. Once the morning came, I spent my time watching the waves and exploring around the rocks. The atmosphere was so dark and empty, I loved it. What a mesmerizing feeling to witness the strength of the ocean, the waves rolling in and crashing over the rocks in such a beautiful way..

I’ve been attracted to simplicity for a little while — it forces me to see simple things that I wouldn’t normally take time to observe. I think this photograph evokes that feeling of being lonely in a vast universe.. I’m currently doing a road trip alone across Nova Scotia, and I noticed that I started to feel isolated. And, without knowing it, my photographs started reflecting that.. ✨

What an amazing 3 days it has been.. I just arrived in Nova Scotia and I'm in love. Doing a roadtrip alone is so good to my soul, I can entirely focus on myself, on my thoughts and my creativity — This photograph was taken on day 1 while I was still in Quebec ❄️

What a spectacular afternoon this was. We searched for 2 hours, the sun was starting to set, the day was getting colder and the snow started falling. And then, luckily, we had the honor to meet the king of the forest. It was a majestic moment..

Feeling small and protected by nature. This is what I felt while walking around Humantay in Peru. If you look closely, you can see a tiny human walking the mountain ridge (me).. I miss Peru so much.
