Being the explorer. One funny thing about Dubai's that this city can fool you. You may think that something's quite close from the metro station, turns out it's not so close, but the building's so big that makes this illusion. So you can end up having nice 10km walk everyday. 💪
'Meet me where the sky touches the sea. Wait for me where the world begins'.
Jumeirah Public Beach next to Burj Al Arab - the closest part of this beach to Burj Al Arab was very busy as everyone wanted to take a photo, but next parts of this beach's very wide and not that crowded.
Not a standard photo from Burj Khalifa, because it's not standard place to be. Generally tourists have access to 124th, 125th and 148th floor. I had this pleasure to visit 123th floor where's The Residence Lounge.
Honestly, I could stay there and stare at those buildings all day long.
💭“Travel is like love, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.” — Pico Iyer
Dubai Marina in the background. 😎 "A simple life is good with me. I don't need a whole lot. For me, a T-shirt, a pair of shorts, barefoot on a beach and I'm happy". #happygirl
'I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles'. - Audrey Hepburn 💭
Burj Al Arab may be known as 'The World's only 7* hotel' - well, not anymore. Now we have few of them around the world.
But why 7 stars? Here you may find interesting facts about this hotel*:
1. In the pillow menu you may find 17 types of pillows to choose.
2. The hotel broke the Guinness World Record in 2008 for the most expensive cocktail - 27,321 AED.
3. The ceiling of Junsui Lounge contains 29,000 Swarovski crystals designed in the shape of the Milky Way.
4.There are 60 reception desks, one per each floor.
5. Burj al Arab possess one of the world’s largest fleets of Rolls Royce’s available for guests.
6. 24 carat gold iPad for every guest during they stay in the hotel.
* the source is uncle Google so I don't know how much you can relay on those facts, but in Dubai everything is done with panache, so all of this might be true.
Do you know something more about this hotel? Or maybe something isn't true? Let me know in the comment!
Dubai - city where you can do whatever you want. You can walk around the downtown in the morning, have a swim in the sea afternoon and ski in the evening. You can try every kind of food, you can admire stunning buildings.
I could not think of a better place to celebrate my birthday. 🎂😁 ____________________________________________________
... BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS ALL THE TIME.
Some say "let the waves hit your feet and the sand be your seat". You can guess what went wrong here. I like this photo especially because it's one single shot. I didn't pose for this, I didn't choose it out of hundreds. It's perfect capture of the moment when the ocean slapped my face. Enjoy. 😄
Second to last photo from my Fuerteventura adventure. Tomorrow will be one and last post from Fuerteventura and then I will finally move on to new chapter, new adventure and new memories.
