Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos)
Anas is a genus of dabbling ducks. It includes the pintails, most teals, and the mallard and its close relatives. 🦆
Only the female makes the familiar quacking. The drake’s (mature male duck) call is a much softer and quieter note.🦆
Though they will pair up in the autumn, the drake only remains with his partner until she starts incubating, and has nothing to do with rearing the ducklings.🦆
A Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo enjoying some air time. Fun fact, the Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo was one of the first species identified by Europeans in Australia. The bird was first collected by explorer Captain James Cook in 1770 on a voyage to Australia.

From Krystina about this image:
I think most of the people admire the birds for their plumage, wings, and beaks. I watching the birds analyze their features
to know something about theirs personalities.I love the portrait of the delicate, fragile, graceful, beautiful creature.
