Lately I have been focusing on what my body needs and not what I think it needs. In the past I’d get so down on myself if I didn’t lift heavy 5 days a week, and to be honest I really was working against myself.
I was stressed, tired, my CNS(central nervous system) was shot and I was sore constantly. This is not a good recipe for recovery or progression with my goals.
I have been doing less and I’m seeing major results in a matter of weeks. I have always used exercise as a positive outlet to de-stress so it was hard to NOT go to the gym everyday, and go hard. Now I’m focusing on doing other things to help my stress, and to be more centered in my life at home.
As I write this my arms are sore from this workout, and all I did was switch it up and use the cable machine!! Sometimes your body just needs a change of pace.

I’ve spent so much of my life trying to figure out how to lose weight. Like, I knew what I needed to do, I’d do it but then fall off. There are ✌🏽new factors that have literally changed my life and appearance.
1. CBD Oil
2. Intermittent fasting
Structure and schedule is what I NEED to succeed. I am ADHD and AM scatterbrained as hell. If I do not have a plan for the day, I literally go crazy. 😂🤷🏼♀️
I have been binge eating for all of my twenties. I could blame stress and being a hairstylist but those are ultimately just lame excuses. Did you know that CBD oil is a natural appetite suppressant?! ANNNND CBD increases the level of mitochondria in the body which allows our bodies to burn more calories! So freaking cool!

YALL ALREADY KNOW!!!! I got in some full body work today with @rolandburksfitness I decided to switch it up a bit and head back to my roots. 💪🏽🍑 Story time!! I was an Irish dancer for 13 years!!! It kept me in pretty good shape, not gonna lie. Once I went to college, I had to slow down with the dancing and settle into a new lifestyle. That was ROUGHHHHH. I began to see a change in myself that I did not like and I knew I had to do something about it.
In the beginning of my sophomore year of college, I came across Roland’s Instagram and I had to see what the talk was all about, so I did. His workouts are killer!! He kicked my ass lol. So fast forward a couple of months to November, I had my last dance competition ever. I felt like I no longer needed to look a certain way for the stage and decided to switch up my workouts a bit. I started lifting heavier and more often and also limited cardio to 2-3 times a week and I once again began to see a change, but this time, I liked it.
I have been lifting for almost 2 years now and it’s crazyyyyyy how it can change you, but we all start somewhere. Ro helped me find that fire I needed to kick myself into gear and needless to say, I am BLESSEDDDD.
Long story short, keep working towards your goals and don’t give up like I almost did in the last video because I hit shoulders last night and Ro killed them this morning. 🙃

Add these 4 moves to your next shoulder session for a killer burn🔥
1️⃣Dumbbell front to side raise
2️⃣Bicep curl to shoulder press(because I couldn’t not add a bit of bis😅) I’ll be the first to admit my form is slightly off as this was my last set and thought my arms were going to fall off🔥😭
3️⃣Bent over rear delt raise

💥Barbell flat bench - 5x5 (80% max weight for me)
💥 Incline dumbbell press - 8,8,6,6
💥Cable fly (low to high) - 4x12
-superset with tricep pushdown - 4x10
💥Plate front raise - 3x15
- superset with overhead rope extension - 3x15

Ready to kick ass the rest of this week 🤙🏼 I definitely got a lil fluffy over the holiday season 🙈 but it’s alll gooood cause I enjoyed myself to the MAX! Now it’s time to cut down, my plan is to be doing HIIT 2x a week, a full body workout 1x a week, and booty workout 1x a week. When starting out with your workout plans, start small! Start with ONE goal so you don’t overwhelm yourself, and make your goal about the action, not the result. It’s much more effective to set a goal of going to the gym 2x per week than losing 2 pounds or inches per week. Actions will always lead to results so let’s focus on that! 😘

Motivating yourself in the moment can be super hard (especially if you're snuggled up on the couch), so here are some tips on how to get into workout mode 💪:
✅ Imagine how you're going to feel later. Are you going to be disappointed in yourself if you don't work out?
✅ Commit to working out for just 10 minutes. Once you get going, you'll probably be able to do more!
✅ Watching a TV show or listening to a podcast? You can still enjoy those things while you work out! #POPPILATES#POPARMY
How have I only just realised that I have no January blues?! 🤯
January blues hit me HARD every year. For the first time in forever I am actually completely content in what is usually my most depressing month. Considering I’m on roaccutane and will not have seen Nutella or pizza in 16 weeks... somethings different!! 🧐
1️⃣ I have put the opinions of other people aside. What are they? Don’t care! In a small town of small minded & opinionated humans, this is hard. But I can honestly say it does not cross my mind anymore
2️⃣ I believe in myself. Again, first time I think ever. In a lot of ways, but finally got the courage to compete in a bikini competition (something I always said I wouldn’t do due to lack of confidence)
3️⃣ There was (to an extent) a purpose in my weight gain over the last months of 2018 and I knew exactly what I was going to be doing about it in Jan.
4️⃣ I know I am responsible for my own happiness. Without Christmas 🙈 we make the choice of who we spend our time with, what we do, how we treat our bodies and we have the ability to change it all
Common denominator - mindset! January ain’t that bad when you have focus on self improvement every day 🥰
But blue is still my favourite colour, even in January 💙

yesterday I asked on my story if anyone uses the TRX for abs and majority said no!! I thought I would show my fav lil ab complex that I like doing on it that always leaves my abs so so sore😝 you can do these exercises separate or throw them in all together like I did. TRX’s are so so convenient because they literally take up no space and there’s so many different exercises you can do with them and I really don’t use them enough! And if you’re working out from home, you can buy them online and set them up! Mia has one hanging in her garage and it works out perfectly!! I hope this gives you a new lil ab workout to think about😅 enjoy!

🤩I did that lil combo for 10 reps of this equaling to 40 reps total
