Not waiting around for them, not crossing your fingers, not hoping they’ll magically appear but by opening your mouth and asking for it.
Maya Angelo once said “you get in life what you have the courage to ask for”, so ask for what you want and be prepared to get it 🙌 #itscoming

One thing I can say is that I’m so freaking happy I didn’t listen to the people that said I wouldn’t be able to be where I am now. Don’t let anyone ever take control over your life. Have FAITH in yourself to achieve the goal you want to achieve. 💚 .

Me laughing at the fact that it was almost 100 degrees today and I was dying to tear my clothes off and tomorrow I go back to work with a sweater and rain jacket. Just your typical Chicago summer! ☀️🤷🏽♀️☔️
Such an interesting article about the drop in fertility rates when alcohol was introduced in 2011. It's also been the leading cause of death since 2011.
I wonder if Americans are experiencing the same issue but not really recognizing that alcohol is to blame. Are women told to drop alcohol entirely when trying to have a baby and struggling with infertility. Do people try sobriety before ivf or other interventions? It makes sense that as women's drinking as increased in the past 10-15 years more people are experiencing the issue.
I think they don't from my own personal experience and wonder if people could potentially avoid the expense and time involved in the treatment by trying out sobriety for an extended period of time.
I always wondered if alcohol would be legalized today if it were a new drug and this article is absolutely fascinating! It immediately became the number one cause of death! That's unbelievable.
The data provide a “first-hand record of the impact of alcohol on fertility in a hunter-gatherer society which appears to be seriously compromising the survival of the Baka,” Ramirez Rozzi writes.

“First time I saw capoeira was in high school. Since then it has become a part of my journey in life. Capoeira is beautiful- the movements, the music and the history. Moreover, it is a way of life that has helped me become a better person, a better woman. The most memorable moment in my capoeira journey was my first trip to Brazil. I had met so many women that were so strong and beautiful in different ways. Being able to honor the most important person in my capoeira life, Mestra Edna Lima, alongside the women of my class and all of ABADÁ-Capoeira was extremely inspirational. I wanted to exceed my own expectations and to this day I’m still continuing to do so.”.

For the last few days I’ve been experiencing a very sore throat with swelling and ear infection. After three days of procrastination I visited an ENT (ear nose throat) specialist today. What I had attributed to a case of tonsillitis actually turned out to be LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux). The doctor prescribed me a few medicines and asked me to take some necessary precautions like avoiding spicy food and caffeine.
When I told my therapist about this, he told me it’s a complication which can arise from bulimia. All those years when I’d make myself purge and the recent relapses after recovery, are beginning to take a toll on my health. Purging upwards 5-6 times a day caused not only massive mental suffering but physical suffering too. (Hello aging skin, hello rotten teeth, hello bad breath , hello swollen cheeks)
After coming back from the doctor today, I have been hell bent on getting rid of this monster that I’ve been battling over the years. Maybe some day, I can actually have a healthy fun relationship with food. Until then, I have got a lot of work to do
If you’re suffering too, please reach out for help before it’s too late. I hope this post helped.
