☕ Time for brunch!
Credit to @mimtwin : Final brunch in Barcelona with @ems_barton@amigadave and Jules. It's been an exciting few days, very grateful for this trip and the company of good friends. This travel was an experiment for me, visiting a city alongside an #Ingress anomaly (events I used to go to every couple of months for the last few years) and doing everything other than playing Ingress. It was a busy and fun time, full schedule of activities and no pressure to play. Everyone is looking forward to going home for a rest 😴 #barcelona#catalonia#wndsnworld#wndsntelemeters#pursuepersistprevail#flatwhite
Two patches to tell a story
The Explorer is who I strive to be on the outside
The bind rune is me on the outside. Wndsn describes it like this, "a sense of humility, the comfort with staying out of the limelight, and the ability to fly under the radar"
Great patches and tools. Got another on order! Stay tuned.
People have have asked me about my chest pack. When looking for a new light hiking bag I was actually set going with a Hill People kit bag. I decided against it at the time, as I wanted more modularity and thought it was too expensive. I ended up going with a cheaper condor chest panel and large admin pouch. I use it primarily for hiking and it serves the purpose of carrying all the gear you want on hand while on the trail, in a river currant or sitting in a deer stand; principally navigation tools, but also fly boxes, hunting calls, sun screen, etc. What's more, if I were to get separated from my pack it also carries signaling/survival items.
Here is what's in it
tinder bundle with natural cordage and vasoline soaked cotton in zip lock bag
find sharp red and blue
Sawyer straw and filter
glowing buzz saw
Water proof paper note pad
signal panel with 4 s binders
Outside of pack:
Israeli bandage in m4 pouch (perfect for a radio)
lensatic compass in pouch
gloves and brown electric tape on S biner
pace count beads
dump pouch (for water bottle or misc. Items)
shotgun shell holder
not shown in picture:
rats tq attached by elastic hair bands
Wndsn quandrant telemeter
(These items are in my everyday bag and moved over)
I have 4 molle clips for the 5.11 rush packets. The whole kit clips onto the front of a larger pack for vehicle travel and storage
