STORY TIME!!! In 2003 Michael Jordan held a basketball camp for older rich dudes who wanted to hoop with him. Of course he did his 1 on 1 thing with them at the end. After BUSTING EVERYONE’S ass he ran into John Rogers. Rogers was an ex player at Princeton, and a BRILLIANT money mind. He and Jordan played a quick game to 4. Michael was Michael, he talked shit, razzed him, but he also missed 2 shots. John won 4-2. If they played a million times after that Rogers would prolly never win again. But that’s not the point. The point is when it’s your time to win, not even Michael fucking Jordan can stop you.
No one is immune to making mistakes – we are human, after all! But if we simply apologize and carry on as before, we're in danger of repeating the same errors.
When we don't learn from our mistakes, we inflict unnecessary stress on ourselves and on others, and we risk losing people's confidence and trust in us.
❤️ In our class we connect kids and parents at the heart, often we see tears, and deep states of love. It is such a beautiful practice and space to be able to work with the kids in. ❤️ Our 6 week introduction emotional literacy and mindfulness course is now open for enrolments however places are limited book your place here 👉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to THE GREATEST-Muhammad Ali 💫”Don’t wait for the world to recognize your greatness. Live it, and let the world catch up to you”- Muhammad Ali 💫 This photo was about 40 years ago when I had the pleasure of meeting The Legendary Champion Muhammad Ali , for the first time. I will never forget that day and all the wisdom he shared ( plus he had us all laughing so much till my cheekbones got sore... lol 😂) .
When one’s aura reeks of wisdom and unbelievable gallantry, without a word even the ground knows when that person passes. Learning to have a wise soul is learning to open up your body and mind to the possibilites of wisdom.
G R O W T H ✨ What does it look and feel like to you? For me, it’s messy. There are a lot of different parts and colors and textures to the experience and they all interact with one another, sometimes in unpredictable ways, similar to an ecosystem. For me, growth is not linear. Yes the trajectory is steady, in the right direction, but hardly linear. I have lapses in my thinking and behaviors ALL the time still where I resort back to being driven by fear instead of love. (Oversimplification but u get my drift) This year I find myself going back to the clear and simple roots of Yoga, advice from one of the oldest and most sacred yoga texts ~ the Bahagvad Gita. The Gita tells all of us who practice three important components necessary for progress on the path of spiritual growth: 1.) TIME. ❤️ Show up for your practice every single day even if it is just 5 minutes of mindfulness as you’re sitting in your car before work! 2.) COMMITMENT. ❤️ To me, right now, this means riding the challenging waves, staying true to my experience without letting the uncomfortable stuff run out on others, and practicing my mantras that help the tough feelings move through me. And 3.) ENTHUSIASM. ❤️ If you know me then you know this one comes the most naturally. 🤣😘 But seriously, the other translation for this one is “child like vigor and wonder.” What an amazing practice eh?! Stick with it you guys!!! Even for the pockets of peace and bliss, the fleeting taste of the divine, ALL the work is worth it. #firstname.lastname@example.org
I have more tattoos, wear less makeup, and this is the longest I’ve gone without an “all-over color” on my hair in...I don’t know how long🤷🏻♀️ Other than the usuals that come with aging, i.e., wrinkles, graying hair, and things not being where they used to be😜...not much else has changed. I’m every bit as insecure now as I was at 24 but, instead of focusing on reaching a level of “confidence” or epic “self-esteem”, I’m choosing to focus on growth. Trying to be a little “healthier” each day. Healthier spiritually. Healthier mentally. Healthier emotionally. Healthier physically. Growing healthier from the inside out. Some days I rock it out and some days I fail miserably. We are all a work in progress and will continue to be and that’s ok. Choosing to focus on the “grow-up” vs the “glow-up” 😜✌️🖤🤘

Sometimes you ought to believe, that somehow, someway the Rose of your heart will heal,
That some someday this pain of yours will not resonate in anyone else’s heart. - Lone heartbreak wishes.

Note to self “Each moment, whatsoever you are doing, do it totally. Simple things—- taking a bath; take it totally. Forget the whole world; sitting sit; walking walk above all done wobble; sit under the shower and let whole existence fall on you. Be merged with those beautiful drops of water falling onto you. Small things: cleaning the house, preparing food, washing clothes, going for a morning walk—-Do them totally! #Osho

I can’t stress enough how important stretching is. keep your insides flexible and you move through life more fluidly. Keep them rigid and you will move through life rigid. Is it really that simple spiritualist within? yes. If u practice yoga comment blow and vouch. I don’t but I plan to take my stretching and go to full blown yoga when I stop being a lazy ass
