I’ve been putting off redoing the home office because, well, I’m afraid of commitment. 😄 I feel like my style is ever changing and sometimes so fast that by the time I finish a project, I’m already wishing I had done it differently.
I keep finding myself going back to this image from @studiomcgee and am so drawn to the space. Something about it makes me feel so inspired. The pieces are such a good mix of modern (clean lines of the chairs), moody (dark blue walls) and traditional (hello beautiful wall molding and warm cognac leather).
Incorporating warmth into the rooms in my house has been important for me, but definitely difficult. Visually I am always drawn to cool colors like grays but when I start decorating and styling with those colors, the rooms always feel so incomplete or somewhat uncomfortable. I’ve found when I’ve stepped a little bit outside my comfort zone by picking warmer accent pieces like throw pillows or blankets, it really makes the space feel homey. I’m also trying to not be afraid of colors in general. Neutrals are my go to because they are safe, but they really aren’t a true reflection of me and my family’s personalities.
I’m curious, do you find yourself decorating in a style that isn’t necessary “you” but it’s trendy or safe? I encourage you to try to step outside that bubble and see how small changes like updating your throw pillows or wall art to fit your actual style can lead to better overall alignment in your life. Happy Saturday!! 🖤🖤🖤

Lightin’ up some perch in the northwoods 🌲
Here’s a fun fact for you. I caught my very first musky here on Wildcat Lake in July, 2012, and then on that same day I caught my 2nd and 3rd 😎 I didn’t measure them, they were all probably around lower to mid 30’s, but I could have cared less because I had just caught my first musky in none other than “The Musky Capital of The World” - @boulderjunctionwi.
Where and when did you catch your first musky? Or if you haven’t yet, I highly recommend a trip up to Wildcat Lake, @boulderjunctionwi.
The Lake was as blue as the sky is, uh, white.

The Hyper-Rattle from @acmetackle is the hot ticket! This lure is crazy good! I've had many successful days with this lure while targeting walleye and perch. Check them out for yourself at www.acmetackle.com
