Don’t swipe if you don’t like blood!!!
It’s been a weird couple of days.
One day, I am extremely happy, productive, and progressing. The next I cry and reflect. The universe hits me up against the head and forces me to slow down.
After having an amazing day yesterday, I woke up first thing today and decided to spend some time with nature and practice longboarding...
I had no expectations, I still suck after not practicing for 3 years. But it came back to me like how riding a bike never really leaves your skill set. -
As the pictures show, I ate shit lmao.😂
But something different happened after I wiped out.
All my life i’ve chosen to stay away from any activities that had the risk of falling and bleeding.
I was someone who, undeniably, was a pussy 💀
I would drop anything that hurt me. I would drop it and never look back.
But this time I surprised myself when my conscious told me to keep going.
Even as I lay here, with two bleeding elbows, a swollen knee and hip, and a cut up hand, I still want to go out there again and GET BETTER.
The old Victoria would’ve never even looked at a longboard again after wiping out this bad.
She would’ve thrown the board into the corner of the garage and literally said “fuck that”. -
I guess this is how you measure growth. You shock yourself by doing things you would’ve never imagined doing before. -
There are lessons within EVERY SINGLE THING you experience every single day.

2102. “I could see my husband’s blue eyes and the freckles on my daughter’s nose.” Twelve years ago, Danelle Miller underwent a double cornea transplant to repair the damage to her vision caused by keratoconus. When the doctors removed the patches from her eyes, she was able to clearly see the details of her family for the first time. With her improved vision, Danelle found improved confidence and auditioned for and made it on the game show, “Wipeout,” which aired about 8 years ago. She was then cast on a @lifetimetv show on which she received a makeover as well as a remodeling of one of the rooms in her house. Since then, Danelle has continued her favorite role of being a good mother to her daughter; however, she’s also used her creative mind to start her own business. Inspired by her mother, who used to fill their house with plants, and her father, who encouraged her to work with plants, Danelle created @ldcworkshops, a series of workshops centered around enjoying drinks and planting succulents. As an advocate for spreading the word about pancreatic cancer, which her father passed away from, Danelle also uses her workshops as a way to increase awareness about the disease and is expanding her events to include cannabis (which helped her father) through @elevatencreate_! So nice to meet you, @dani_kalifornia_! #10kfriends#losangeles#losfeliz#corneatransplant#vision#wipeout#mother#family#plants#succulents#workshop#meetingpeople
How we met: Danelle came across my project via her friend, @laurenlivesinleggings ( #2067), and then DM’ed me to meet!
2 miles. 24 minutes. —includes one spectacular crash caused by broken-brained doggie.
Thankful for amazing pain receptors, adrenaline-rushes, moments of quiet sitting on pavement admiring the moon turn the cottonwood leaves into lace, and the body’s natural wound-cleansing design.
I AM fine, nothing is broken, just bloody palms and knees and one thumbnail that will most likely depart from the rest of me soon.
Miss Mardi is also just fine and I am thankful how much her broken-brained little self has taught me about people who have brokenness in their minds and hearts.
Amazing, isn’t it? So many little lessons and tiny miracles and bless bye absolutely everywhere and in everything! .
