OMG sunshine!! ☀️☀️ Put a little pep in my step with this run 🤗 A few easy miles with some longer intervals thrown in. I've cut my weekly mileage nearly in half due to some nasty plantar fasciitis, but that can't keep me away from some longer runs 🤣 Focusing on getting stronger & more confident with pacing for my spring marathon 😅
Until next time St. Louis!🛣 Congrats to all the runners who ran the St. Louis #HC15K!! Thanks for stopping by the @bondi_band booth at the expo - it was great meeting so many new friends!!
If you’re ever in the #stlouis area I HIGHLY recommend staying at the @hiltonhotels Hilton at the Ballpark. Gorgeous hotel and A+ service 👍🏼

By now everybody knows the last couple months have been pretty rough for me. I signed up for this race in September thinking I would start running all the time and I would get my life back together. Well things as they normally do don't go according to plan. I honestly was going to back out and I told myself no you have to do it. And I am so proud that I did. I ran as much as I could oh, I may or may not have almost thrown up. But in the end I completed my goal and finished it under 40 minutes. Today was a step in the right direction. I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings for me, because I'm ready for it. #willrunfordonuts

-> I don’t think I’ve ever taken a photo that’s more me 😂
Here’s a few things about me (other than my love of exercise and sweets)
1. I started my health and fitness journey in 2008 as I was beginning my first year of college, I knew I didn’t have the confidence I’d need to create the life I wanted, and I decided to make a change!
2. I am obsessed with animals. I LOVE animals.. honestly.. more than most humans 😎. I find enjoyment out of reading books or watching documentaries and learning about wildlife ((and dogs! 🐶💗))
3. I love planning adventures! I find things I want to do, and then convince anyone/everyone I can to tag along with me 🤗 my bestie @janelle.26.2 and my husband are typically the ones I drag along 😂 and I like to remind them of all of the memories that they have now thanks to me ha ha

Still trying to wrap my mind around the blur that was today. A few nights ago I was feeling really uptight about making my goal time and thinking of how disappointed I’d be if I didn’t hit it. Then I was reminded by a wise Mama #2 of mine that I just need to enjoy the moment. So I did. I celebrated the past 4 months of sacrifice and ran my race at my pace and felt so dang good! Having my amazing friend @mel_rose55, my hubs and baby girl yelling for me at the finish line...I just haven’t figured out the words to convey how amazing it was. Humbling. And amazing. Haha I guess I would compare my first half to a first kiss. You spend so long dreaming about it, then it happens and you’re like holy moly this is IT! And then you come to and it’s over and you’re so stunned and starry eyed that it happened. Love you running 💕 see you Wednesday for a few miles. #runnersofinstagram#lovetorun#rundrm#bullcityrunning#halfmarathontraining#firsthalfmarathon#motherrunner#rundrm#willrunfordonuts#coffeeanddonuts#allthecarbs#family@wakenbakedonuts

"The principle is competing against yourself. It's about self-improvement, about being better than you were the day before." - Steve Young
In case you forgot, I love running! For me it's so much more then just exercise. It's the only opportunity to continue challenging myself & finding little improvements both physically & mentally. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Exhibit A: Today's workout felt effortless. I did the same workout back in May of this year (swipe to second photo) and while the paces overall were near the same, you can see how many times I had to stop & walk before. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Little things like this amaze & excite me. It keeps me motivated & gets me out the door. No I'm not setting any world records, but I'm proud of how far I've come. 🤘🤘💪💪

Last #medalmonday of the year (probably)! I ran the @morunners Mustache Race half marathon this last Saturday for my 30th birthday, and set an overall 2 min PR and a 17 min course PR.
I haven't run a lot of half marathon races recently, but this was definitely a learning experience. I was literally 47 seconds away from my goal of sub 1:50, which has been hard for me to swallow. Why didn't I keep pushing? I should've gone a little harder... But I'm determined to learn from this & have new goals for 2019! 💪💪🤘🤘

This (cheesy) face of joy pretty much sums up how I feel about moving in ways I love. 😃😃😃
I took the last few days off to be with family for the Thanksgiving holiday and indulge in some holiday treats. Yes I drank some wine and ate pie, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. No, I didn’t starve myself before or after. I stuck with my key #AnchorActions for movement, nutrition and self care and didn’t stress about some extra calories.
Getting up early on Thanksgiving morning to run the Drumstick Dash with my Indianapolis Banfam was the perfect way to bond with them. It also honored one of my #AnchorActions which is to move in a way I love each and every day.
I wasn’t moving out of guilt or trying to compensate for the extra food I was about to eat- just loving the chance to move outside in the sunshine (even if it was COLD ❄️) with my family and thousands of other happy folks. #lovehowyoumove#gratefultomove
Other days last week I got out to walk, practice yoga or do a quick workout (check out my last post for a travel workout). Drinking tons of water, meditating and aiming for at least half my meal to be veggies are some of my other Anchor Actions that give me some flexible structure to stay consistent, feel good and still have fun.
Now your turn: do you have any Anchor Actions that you do each day or each week? I’d love to hear one that you are doing today below in the comments! 👇🏼
If you need some ideas, here are a few that we love in my coaching group, the Magic Makers Movement:
✅at least 5 minutes of exercise each day
✅walk 10k steps or 30 minutes extra daily
✅big glass of water first thing then before each meal
✅meditate for 10 minutes daily or 1 minute throughout the day
✅gratitude list daily
✅favorite yoga or fitness class each week
✅probiotics and/or fermented food daily
✅food and biofeedback journaling ✅check in with a loved one or coach
If you are looking for guidance with your fitness, nutrition and mindset (WHOLE body wellness!), please DM me. I have a couple of spots for 1:1 coaching opening up in December. ❤️

The key to happiness is finding friends who are willing to travel to run a few miles and eat a dozen donuts at the same time.
Check out that third place team trophy in the @krispykremechallenge! It looks just as beautiful in person as I imaged it would. 😍
Nothing really does justice to their enormity other than in-person viewing. But these are my three little piggies - all cuddled up for bed on a pile of hay in the barn last night.
Just imagine Albert Einstein (the spotty guy) trying to climb on top of the girls for the cuddle pile now! On a single, small dog bed, like the last post! Yeah. We left that territory long ago.
But they still like to cozy up really close for bed in the winter. Noses together. (In the summer, they sleep near each other, but with a comfortable distance between them for air flow.)
They're huge and athletic, though. No chunky pigs here. If they see you coming with treats, they can and will sprint across the whole pasture to get to you. #willrunfordonuts

One week till my last race of 2018. What am I gonna do with my Sundays now?
Probably still just gonna run.
