Up on the blog, 22 reasons to visit Williamsburg! I’m sharing some recommendations on where to stay, what to do, where to eat and where to shop on your next time visiting :) #williamsburg#travelguide#traveltips
This Lao nam khao was the most flavorful thing we’ve eaten in a while, the powerful citrusy-sour notes of lemongrass, kaffir lime, and fermented pork sausage mingling with the heat of the chilies and the addictive crunch of the coconut fried rice. So good!
This is from NYC’s @ieatlaofood, which we always managed to miss at the @QueensNightMarket (blame the lines + our hungry kids). I wish I could say we ate this in Laos—but we were there a long 16 years ago, young backpackers who didn’t pay close enough attention to such things! 🤦🏼♀️ (Though we do remember a beautiful French-Lao “splurge” meal at a fancy restaurant in Vientiane that cost us about $13 per person, with wine 🤷🏼♀️)
Been doing lots and lots of walking and exploring. Our favorite area of NYC so far has been Williamsburg. There are so many cute little shops and tasty food. Here’s a place you should definitely check out for Brunch if you’re ever in Brooklyn 🖤
Day 4️⃣ in New York
Started the day with sandwich bagels 🥯
We went to Bryant Park for the holiday market & got “de turtle wafel” from Wafels and Dinges - dulce de leche, chocolate fudge & walnuts on top of a waffle 🤤
For dinner we went to a Andy Warhol themed Korean food restaurant in Williamsburg called Silver Factory.
We shared: boneless fried chicken wings in gochujang sauce - which was a sticky spicy (& yummy) sauce.
His plate: spicy beef with Korean-style spicy soy garlic sauce over rice with a fried egg
My plate: pan fried noodles with bulgogi, veggies & a fried egg
All three dishes were 🔥 and the decor of the restaurant is dope. One of my favorite places we’ve gone to so far.
