Liger Belair Echezeaux 10. Legendary vintage n I’ve always loved his Echezeaux. Usual floral aromatics that can mesmerize u immediately but the palate was rather tight n unyielding. Gone hiding tonight?
Liger Belair La Romanee 10. After The Echezeaux I was very skeptical about the La Rom but it proved to be unfounded. Extremely airy n the essence of violets n hibiscus. Super light footed n yet so giving that it’s playing with my mind constantly. Superb.
#Food :: We spent a lovely day brunching (or should we say drunching) in a stunning pool-side setting at The Deck, Hyatt Regency that has been revamped and is now open to #OurCity.
The feasting began at the salad station (their farm fresh lettuce is ace) and then moved to the bread + cheese spread.
From Keema mattar to Lasooni Dal palak, all mains were relished with one too many pudina paranthas and several trips were even made to the Barbeque grill.
To washed down all this indulgence, we sipped on white wine, beer, and prosecco throughout. It was a super but long meal that was followed by an even longer recovery nap - indeed the ideal sundaze.
You must mark this for next Sunday, to gorge on delectable food as you soak in the winter sun in all its glory. And while you’re at it, don’t miss out on their delicious Prawn satays and Tandoori dahi bhalla - the stars of our afternoon.
