Without any doubt the most legendary wine of the abruzzo.
I have to confess that this were my first bottles. This circumstance is based on the fact that the prices you pay in germany are reminiscent of daylight robbery.
And of course due to the rareness of Emidio Pepe, which influeces the price aswell.
So it's a pleasent surprise getting these two beauties for less than 100€ ❤
The cerasoulo is more like a light red then a rose. Loaded with tons of tannins and acidity, this one clearly the most intense and malicious rose i've ever tried! For fucks sake that's exactly how rose has to be. Unless you want a raspberry flavoured failed cocktail you usally get when you think of rose.
Much finer and more focused on minerality is the trebbiano. You could easily drink 2 bottles in a row. After a hour, it shows its real beauty and complexity. Kind of a soft acidity paired with apples, pears and sage.
White wine and parmesan bruschetta. Grate Parmesan and mix well with white wine until you get a creamy consistency. Spread over bruschetta that’s been rubbed with garlic, and then drizzle with a bit of olive oil. Broil until bubbly and finish with a topping of your choice. The first I heard of the white wine and cheese was from @julskitchen. Her recipe (quite different from this) sounds absolutely delicious but it requires stale bread which I didn’t happen to have on hand. This an adaptation of a @davidroccosvita recipe.
Interesting review of our @rosabrookwines SBS 2017 in the @winecompanion 2019. "If you need to understand how terroir shapes the flavour and texture of a wine, cold-fermented, early-bottled Margaret River SBS is a great example. The wines open with intense flavour, pause to build citrus and mineral notes on the mid-palate, then finish long and dry."

Coche Dury Meursault 94. Minerals, limestone, a bit cheesy. Juicy and broad with tropical fruits and still lively. Pretty good for an off vintage village wine.
Roulot Meursault Les Tessons, clos de Mon Plaisir 07. Clean floral notes, very minerally, ripe fruits n high acid tension. A light saber wine.

Polly the #wine bomber.
I was casually minding my own business taking some photos of a great wine, then all of a sudden Polly makes an entrance!
Not to be perturbed by my presence she casually picked up a cracker and flew away!
Full report on the wine soon.
Polly gave it her squark of approval though!

Chardonnay from Rhône 😮
Great discovery with @vino2travel at Vins Papillon (Montreal).
Les deux Terres - Paulatim is a white wine made from Chardonnay in the Ardèche area (west of Rhône Valley) by Manuel Cunin and Vincent Fargier. They produce 10-12 different wines a year and work with manual harvesting, organic agriculture but method of work can vary every year.
You can find a lot of details on @wineterroirs website 😉
Regarding the wine,
👃Agrums, lemon, green lemon, pleasant notes of elevage.
👅 ripe fruits, a great texture, nice acidity, perfectly balanced 😍.
It seems that sometime you have to go abroad to discover French wine 😉.
Looking forward to go in Montreal again !!
