Don’t get me wrong. I will always dig Snapchat. But for me, it seems like it has taken over important pieces of my life. That’s not good. I’m not against Snapchat or social media, I just have to cut some of it off and get those pieces back. Snapchat was my worse vise, so it’s gone.

Interesting PhD moments lately: positives are that I was right and need to trust myself and my skills more. Negatives are that some people don’t like that for some reason. BUT: I don’t have to soothe the egos of others. Although I do suffer the wrath of these bruised egos. Conundrum... #whattodo

Sometimes being a restorer is a bad thing. Like when your cleaning base boards and you notice a chip in the paint. And instead of thinking “I need to touch that up” you think.
“Ohhh, 🥺 Look at that beautiful wood under all that paint”

Three of my prints hanging for assessment. 💛 What to do next? 🤔
King St in Bowen Hills is coming alive as a food and drink precinct. Recently I had the opportunity to get into some German Beer at the Bavarian Beerhaus. A lively place with the well known German beer styles on tap on one side of the bar, and on the other, Australian craft beer. There's plenty of other things to drink if you don't want beer. During happy hour, if you buy certain drinks, you get a token so that you can go fill a container of delicious goodies from the food cart. There's mini Pluto pups, sausages, chips and two types of chicken wings. Definitely a good idea if you're drinking a reasonable amount. You can reserve tables but they aren't huge so you may need more than one, or to stand. For those who've done Oktoberfest before, bells are also rung here if someone orders a paddle of schnapps. Here's a tip, the best loos are next door in Welcome to Bowen Hills. A bit of Oktoberfest all year around! #littlemissbrisbane#germanbeerbar#brisbanebars#oktoberfestallyear
NEW TO THE CELLAR DOOR!
Collective Arts Brewery “Life in The Clouds”
NEW ENGLAND STYLE IPA
Life in the Clouds is Collective Arts flagship New England style IPA. After experimenting with the Collective Project HAZY IPA we dialed in the Simcoe and Mosaic hops and malt balance to optimize this juicy IPA’s pleasantly fruit forward (think citrus and melon) taste and aroma. In keeping with the nouveau NEIPA tradition, Life in the Clouds is an unfiltered beer, neither overly-sweet nor bitter, with a pillowy mouth feel. Crack one, pour it in a glass, take a whiff, hold it up the the light and take a sip! Don’t you agree?
Day 48. Simple rule of the day: When something happens that upsets you, think of the hindsight window.⠀
Are you still upset about something that happened to you in the past (past = ten years ago, ten months ago, ten minutes ago)? Then this rule is for you.⠀
The concept of “hindsight window” comes from Eric Edmeades’s presentation.⠀
“The longer your hindsight window, the less you are happy. The shorter your hindsight window, the happier you are.”⠀
Definition of the hindsight window from Eric Edmeades (paraphrased): “It is the window between an event which you perceived to be bad at the time, and the moment, some time in the future, that you see it as a symphony, as something that was meant to be, as something you are grateful for. For example, you were fired, you were angry, and later you said, ‘of course, it was meant to happen.’”⠀

Todays affirmation is... I am thankful for the love in my life ❤️🙌🏽 I may not have a significant other but I do have family and friends who I treasure and will forever be grateful for. Because of them I have been able to achieve so much this year and went on holiday to Rarotonga and Fiji. All in all it’s been an amazing year and there’s still another month to go till the year ends.
I wonder how much more I can achieve?

Trying to decide what kind of Christmas craft to make with these.....🤔
I’m thinking some sort of glitter glue covered ornament? Or painting them green to look like mini Christmas tree ornaments? Or just letting the kids have a free for all! 😂
Feel free to comment with your suggestions!!!
