Last year, around this time, I got accepted into my dream graduate school program. I felt excited, I felt lucky, but something else about it didn’t feel quite right.
I could either jump into something all consuming for the next two years and become hyper focused on a whole new area.
Or I could build my own program of sorts and deepen my knowledge of what I have spent years practicing and cultivating.
It went against my pride, my expectations of what I thought leveling up in life looked like, but my inner wisdom new what my soul was really wanting. A deepening with myself and with how I can serve my clients.
So here I am. About to board a plane for my last educational adventure for this “planned program” of mine. And I already feel so full and excited to share all of my learnings with you in 2019.
I’ve been studying herbalism for women’s health and advanced trigger point therapy online. I traveled to Peru to study Yin Yoga and meditation. And I’m now off to Belize to study Mayan abdominal health and massage. All of these combined to help me help you heal from the inside out.
Stayed tuned to my Instagram stories for my Belize adventures, and I really can’t wait for all of healing 2019 will bring!
P.S. Check my link in my bio if you want to work with me 1:1 whence I return. 😍

Hi Insta Fam 🍃👋 I know I have shared a bit about my life here and there. However, in light of the interaction I get on my page I would share some facts about myself so you all can get to know me that little bit more 💕
💫 I was born in Ayr, Qld and grew up there most of my childhood. Well until I was 16 and my folks decided on the move to Moranbah, a mining community Central West of Qld
💫 I am the eldest of four. I have two (2) sisters and one (1) MUCH younger brother
💫 Family mean everything to me. We may have our occasional quarrels but we will always have each others back
💫 I married my husband 26th August, 2016 in Bali. 6 years of us dating 💏
💫 I am blessed to be a step-mum to two beautiful little girls
💫 9 months into our wedded bliss Luke had a motorbike accident and as a result sustained a severe brain injury. For someone whom suffered multiple shearing of his brain in critical places and a hypathalmic stroke he isn't meant to be alive let alone walking, talking and doing everything else he does. He is proof miracles exist 🙏so always have HOPE
💫 I am a holistic health FREAK!!! 🌿 Like seriously. I am constantly researching natural remedies/ therapies and owe a lot of these alternatives to Luke's recovery
💫 I am a big believer in what doesn't KILL you only makes you STRONGER
💫 I am a dog lover and human mum to 2 fur babies of my own - Ruby & Ted 🐶🐶
💫 I am extremely passionate about helping others and am grateful I get to do so each and every day
Now I would love to get to know a bit about you guys. Drop me a fun fact below in the comments 💌
Feel the love and compassion for yourself and others, that what I strive for and practice everyday. But human is not perfect, I struggle and sometimes get mean like many people. However, by recognizing and be mindful about your behavior, you can choose to forgive yourself and ask for forgiveness!!! And.....don’t forget to love #panda#behappy#behealthy#mayallbeingsbehappyandfree

Since we got engaged we haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together. My partner works shift work and I work a 9-5 job. We both try and fit in workouts and ovcourse a decent amount of hours sleep which leaves us not alot of time. We found we were unconnected and snapping at each other, we were just not on the same page. Being honest is very important to keep a healthy relationship. We had a chat and spent Saturday night together. No technology watching my favourite movie 💕💕 I am so happy that I found this incredible, supportive man and love that we can be straight up with how we are feeling.

Você ama viajar?
Eu amo. .

SHINE BRIGHT was the topic from one of speakers and good friend @kirstyheadxo at our workshops last year. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise on self care and loves empowering women to be brave. 💫
I made this delicious and healthy recipe this week with a simple recipe from the holistic health and nutrition program I've recently joined called The Healthstyle Emporium.
I love that they're all easy and free of nasty ingredients. Also, quinoa flakes alone can taste super bland so this is a nice way to make them tastier and get in that extra protein that's so good for cell repair and renewal.
Here's the recipe:
⅔ cup if quinoa flakes
½ cup natural greek or coconut yogurt
1 apple coarsley grated
½ cup milk (soy/almond)
1 tbsp sunflower seed kernels
2 tsp chiaseeds
½ rsp ground cinnamon
½ cup fresh mixed berries
Combine all of the ingredients except the berries into a bowl to soften. Once softened, top with the berries. Enjoy!

Hello Instagram fam 👋🏻😘
The old Jess would have said sorry for my absence over the last couple of weeks... but 2019 is the year for me to take more time for me 🙏🏻
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Instagram community I have grown and I’m so thankful for all your support I’ve received over the years!
Most of us know how powerful social media can be, and sometimes you just need to take a step back and live in the moment rather than see it through your phone.
2019 will be such a great year! It’s the most exciting time of my life with just under 3 weeks until I marry the man of my dreams!
I may not be posting every single day from now and that’s ok with me! I started this page as a hobby and it will always be a hobby for me. I’ve always remained true to you guys and will continue to do so 💗🙌🏻
I hope you’ve all had the best weekend 😘

Orenda ~ a mystical force in all people that empowers them to affect the world or to effect change in their own lives ⚡️
My mini 💗
Although I am your mother and it’s my job to teach you I am grateful to forever be learning along the process. Every day you teach me more about myself and how to be a better person. You teach me patience, selflessness, kindness, empathy, courage, unconditional love, to embrace simplicity, be present and to feel real joy & happiness. Our conversations aren’t just words but are shaping your future and beliefs. So although I’m mindful in teaching you the best way I can it is really me who is learning along the way. Thank you for the lessons my darling girl 💗
Want to know one of the healthiest New Years Resolutions you can make? 🤔
SET YOUR BOUNDARIES 🙅🏼♀️
For me, Brene Brown explained this perfectly when she said: ‘Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves even when we risk disappointing others.’
The scary thing is though, so many people have no awareness of what their boundaries actually are - ending up in a vicious cycle of burnout, unhappiness and unbalanced friendship or relationship patterns
There are 6 boundaries to consider; material, emotional, physical, mental, sexual and spiritual. But for the purposes of this post, let’s just focus on a couple (y’all know I love an essay but I’ve got to draw the line somewhere 🙋🏼♀️)
DISCLAIMER: I’m still navigating this shizzle myself (I find it’s an evolving process with frequent check-ins required 🧐)
Without thinking about ANYONE else, consider these:
How much time alone do you need? Do you need more time to recharge, feed your creativity, or simply be more productive?
How much sleep do you need?
Do you get involved in drama, trying to sort it out even when you aren't involved?
Are you a ‘yes man?’ Do you always say yes to other people before checking in with your needs first?
Do people tend to take from you more than they give, or offer help with ‘conditions’?
Are you in tune with your own feelings?
Do you take time to expand your own consciousness? Or are your reactions ruled by others behaviour?
How aware are you of YOUR OPINIONS and beliefs? How likely are you to change these when with someone that has different opinions?
Are you your number 1 priority?
If you’re feeling burnt out, check in with yourself. Ask yourself if any of your emotional, physical or spiritual boundaries are being crossed. If it seems like you are giving too much of your energy away, simply push back and take time for you. It does NOT make you selfish or uncaring because you don’t do things other peoples way 🙏🏻
Your real crew will understand. And the ones who don’t...well... it’s probably time for a rain check 🙃👋🏻✌🏼
ᴅᴏɢs ᴡɪɴᴛᴇʀ ᴄᴀʀᴇ ᴛɪᴘs
Your pet loves to spend time outdoors but in winter even the furriest dog can get cold. Ears, paws and tails are all susceptible to frostbite. Take your dog out frequently for walks, exercise and play but when the temperature drops, don’t leave him outdoors for long periods of time. You should start with short sessions outside and slowly increase so your dog has the appropriate time to adjust. If your dog has furry feet, trim the hair that grows between his pads to prevent ice buildup. Winter salt on city sidewalks can also burn your dog’s pads and is toxic, so after walks around the neighborhood, rinse or wipe your dog’s paws to remove any salt. In case that your dog seems cold, cover him with a towel or blanket. You can also use a blow dryer on a low setting, but don’t heat his paw pads, as they could burn. Instead, heat up some rice in a sock (place against your wrist to ensure it’s not too hot). About hydration, your dog, as you, should drink plenty of water before and after walks. Eating snow is not a good option, as snow can hide waste and bacteria, it lowers your dog’s core temperature, and it’s usually salty due to all of the ice melt that is spread around streets.
