A cleansing shower or warm bath is a great way to prepare for a massage session if you can. Eat lightly beforehand and abstain from drinking alcohol or caffeine on the day of your treatment - these directly affect the nervous system, and can have unwelcome effects when combined with massage. ⠀
Prepare with less make-up or hair products than usual - if you still have to be out and about after your treatment, you may find it helpful to bring some products with you in order to to touch up your make-up afterwards - massage can play havoc with mascara!⠀

Flow has a long and colourful history. If you look back to all forms of religion, culture, science or art you will oft find it referred to in many different ways. In particular it shows up in military or monastic traditions. Avoiding death, and seeking God seemed to motivate deep contemplation of the phenomenon and cultivating these kind of peak experiences always seemed to be equated with some form of divine prompting. They were mystical, supernatural and spiritual in nature.
Then things changed…
Around the 1950’s, one of the Godfather’s of positive psychology Abraham Maslow became interested in these peak experiences as a shared commonality among all successful people.
He chose to investigate further but with a very specific group of people - atheists.
As it turns out atheists also experienced Flow. They in fact described all the same subjective qualities of these peak experiences, but one thing was very different. They weren’t assigning them to a supernatural or divine origin.
For the first time in history the idea that the mythological state might actually be a psychological state fell into focus. Maybe these peak experiences were available to all people regardless of their belief systems?
In the 1970s, psychologist Mihalyi Csikszentmihalyi embarked upon what became one of the largest psychological surveys ever, as he travelled the globe asking people about the times in their life when they felt their best and performed their best.
Everyone he spoke to, regardless of culture, class, gender, age or level of modernization, felt and performed their best when they were experiencing the state he named “Flow.” A term chosen because, Flow was the word that people would use to describe the experience.
Flow does actually feel flowy. But still - for its depth and breadth, Csikszentmihalyi’s study was on the subjective analysis of the experience. And asking people how they feel when they are in the zone, is a great way to knock them out of the zone. The research had its limits and Flow remained somewhat of a mystery. [More ➡️
THE MINI CITY RETREAT @ 42 ACRES, SHOREDITCH 19th JAN
@rachels_feasts and I are excited. We’re excited because this new year is going to start by celebrating the wonderful human beings that we are. This half day retreat will explore movement and breath, along with the opportunity to use movement to release emotions from the body (bit of a passion of mine), topped off with a gorgeous organic vegan lunch and talk by Rachel.
We have some fab people joining us, including @mother_freckle Who’s travelling down from Manchester (can’t wait to meet you Mrs). Big question is, do you want to celebrate who you are for the New Year or try and be someone else, a newer, better version of you?.... Booking link closes next Tuesday.

As Human beings, we despise feeling uncomfortable and will go to extreme lengths to avoid any situation that might bring discomfort. In many cases, we are aware that changes need to be implemented but are hesitant and scared to start. Truth is: If we want to change some stuff about our lives, we need to go through a phase of discomfort and even frustration. Change is uncomfortable by nature, it requires a great effort, a bit of risk, some will power and determination. Getting out of our habits and familiar comfort to step into the unknown is scary and most definitely uncomfortable. However, it is sometimes necessary. We need to look at the bigger picture it might be uncomfortable now but it will definitely feel better later!

We're almost halfway into December and I'm already worn out 😴 gonna be spending a lot of January in the bath so I can relax and avoid going out!
Took a leap out of @the.frugalfox's book and crushed up some bath bombs to make them last longer... Was harder than you'd think! 😂

Today's card in our #wombathollowharmony intuitive card reading is "Listening to my body." This wise advice is certainly appropriate right now, as we near the end of the year, and life seems extra busy!
People are getting ready for Christmas and the holiday season. The shops are frantic and people are frantic trying to get to them. There is that feeling of the days speeding by, and so much to be done.
Emotions may be running high. People may be feeling extra weary and and lacking in energy. And in the midst of numerous demands on our time, how much time do we allow to pause, breathe and take time for our own self care and well-being?
Listen to today's message. Take time to listen to your body, to give yourself the care and love you need and deserve 💖💖💖. The affirmation on the card reads: My health is my life, the temple of my experience and the greatest of my blessings.
True inner health encompasses all parts of our selves. Self-care, and truly nourishing ourselves, incorporates looking after our whole selves, body, mind, heart and spirit.
Look at the card, and see how she holds the owl 🦉, a symbol of wisdom, of spirit, of an ability to see beneath the surface. In her other hand, she holds what could be the moon 🌚. Around her, waves gently swirl. The moon and water are symbolic of our emotions, of the feelings we experience and of what we hold in our hearts ❤. She looks at peace, as she honours her best life, in all its aspects.
Take time to honour what YOU truly need, to listen to your body, to those messages which may seem self-evident, and to those which are whispered and which may need you to listen just that more intently.
Gift yourself all that you deserve to be in your best health, so that you may enjoy and live each day to the fullest - whether it is a busy time or not. Express gratitude for the health you enjoy, body, mind and spirit, knowing this is the time to not allow it to be compomised.
Wishing all of you peace, happiness and time to pause - no matter how hectic the day may seem, 🙏💙🙌 xo.
My Favourite Veggie Bolognese (V) 🍝
It's been a while since I've had #zoodles, and to be honest I'd become so sick of spending 15 minutes hand-twisting my zucchini in my old spiraliser that I'd had enough of them - until now. My new @NinjaKitchenANZ Intelli-Sense Kitchen System actually has an inbuilt Auto-Spiraliser that has completely revolutionised my kitchen and recipes. Zoodles are BACK IN MY LIFE! Swipe right to see how they’re made!
This System has one base, and then 4 high end appliances that you can switch between. So for this recipe, I used both the Spiraliser and the Precision Processor to spiralise, chop, blend and mix everything together, so I could get the most out of my ingredients with minimal effort and time. There's also a super easy touch-screen with pre-set programs for each attachment - meaning that I didn't even read the instruction manual and I still nailed each feature on the first go 🙋🏼
I'll do another demo of the Spiralizer on my story so I can blow your minds with it, but in the meantime, here's one of my favourite recipes made simple thanks to my Ninja.
➕'Pasta': 200g zucchini
➕ Sauce: 100g mixed veggies (I used carrot, capsicum and spinach), 50g tinned tomatoes, 50g drained tinned lentils, herbs of choice (I used coriander and basil)
➕'Meatballs': 50g falafel 'meatballs'. Either homemade or store-bought for ease!
✅ Wash and Spiralise your zucchini with the @ninjakitchenANZ Auto-Spiralizer attachment. Drain with a sieve.
✅ Meanwhile, make your bolognese sauce by blending your veggies of choice, tomatoes, lentils herbs and salt together with the Precision Processor.
✅ Once thoroughly blended and combined, cook the sauce in a boiling pan on low-heat until heated. Microwave your #zoodles for 2 minutes, and top with the hot sauce.
✅ Serve with falafels and enjoy!

Can you spot the tiny person?😋🏔✨
Stunning snowy mountains of Italy, nature is a thing of beauty that constantly puts me in awe🙏 @ryanresatka
All is not lost, you still have time to find your way, make your way and find that one thing that your soul truly craves.
You still have time to grow and develop and find yourself, find your purpose and find the love of your life.
You still have time to work on yourself, create your masterpiece, work on your passion project and change the world.
You still have time to dance, to sing, to travel and to feel alive and feel connected to the world around you and the ones you cherish the most.
You still have time to make an impact, impart your wisdom, touch the soul of another and write a book that one day inspires others to reach for their dreams and follow their heart.
You still have time to enjoy a beautiful Sunrise, feel the warmth of a rising sun on your bare skin and see the beauty of nature exist in perfect harmony all around you.
You still have time to forgive yourself and let go of those moments of great pain, agony and regret and allow yourself to embrace what's next, rather than what's gone.
Don't panic, you still have time to unleash your beauty, power and potential and share your gifts with the world.
You still have time. Be patient and give yourself a chance to thrive and grow and fully develop.

The money you earn from your job isn't yours. It doesn't belong to you, it belongs to your future, your dreams and your most beautiful and epic vision for your life!
If you keep spending the money you earn you'll have to keep going back for more at the start of every week, but what's even more concerning is that you'll never get a chance to experience and do everything you ever dreamt about.
The money you earn from an honest days work isn't yours to spend on whatever you want, it's yours to invest directly into the things that will make you better, your life better and your dreams more than just a crazy fantasy. It's a powerful tool that will help you build your dreams!
Don't you dare complain about your life or your job or your finances if you keep spending every dollar you earn on stuff you don't even want and things that won't make your future better and brighter.
I know it's not always easy, especially if you're not earning a lot of money right now but that's even more of a reason to check your spending and save every penny.
Every dollar you earn is a dollar to put towards your dreams. Don't let your future self regret your present day actions!
