Easily my favourite hike in New Zealand - this view of Mt Taranaki is hard to beat (no photoshop in this photo!) 🙈 The first 2 hours of climbing through native forest are really mundane though, but push through and the reward will be spectacular 😍 Don’t you also think Mt Taranaki looks like Mt Fuji with their symmetrical peaks🗻✨ #shuutravels
Back on the ‘gram after spending 2 weeks on the road in New Zealand 🚘 Secretly happy that I had no mobile network connection during most of my trip but I now have so many photos to share from this STUNNING country! 💕💕💕 #shuutravels

Magical unexpected moments✨
Today is Waisak / Vesak day and a public holiday here in Bali. We went for a quiet walk to Canggu this morning and came across a temple with a ceremony being held in honour of Buddha’s life. It always feels special to witness the cultural traditions of other countries and what better location than this beautiful beach. When researching more about the meaning of today I was touched to read the following...
‘In addition to paying homage to Buddha during Waisak Day celebrations, Balinese devouts are also expected to bring happiness to the people around them’. This sums up the Balinese people for me. Kindness spilling over and touching those around them - that’s why people will never stop visiting this magical island💛
