What is your WHY? What motivates you daily? What drives you to get up every morning? Well I know my why is my mother, my sisters and my nieces. ❤️😭 I never realized how much my family truly needed me and loved me until I gained so much weight to the point of an intervention. I didn’t want to deal with my weight, even though I knew it was time to deal with it head on. June 2018 was when I finally took control of my body and my life. 3 months later, September 10th I lost 38 pounds by eating clean and working out 6 days a week. Imagine I went from eating horribly and barely working out to working out daily and eating 5 healthy meals a day. I not only have lost weight, but I am gaining my confidence back. I have gained so much knowledge about foods I eat and exercise. I have met so many positive people and the biggest thing of all my mother, sisters and nieces have been my constant motivation. When car dead lifts become too easy, I recommend trying 2 finger car dead lifts. After 5 reps, your body feels great, cause all you feel is your fingers burning. Hahaha. I love messing around with normal dead’s so to get the chance to play with a car dead lift at @oldschooljims was epic!!

In addition to diet and exercise, numerous other factors can influence weight and fat loss. Factors that are commonly overlooked and deemed unimportant.
🚨Caloric Deficit🚨 This is absolutely number 1! If you’re eating more calories than your body can burn consistently, you’re not going to lose weight.. That’s just how it goes! 🤷🏼♂️ If you think you’re not eating that much, try tracking EVERYTHING! Not just what you think you want to track.
🏋🏼♂️Strength training has been shown to increase resting energy expenditure and reduce belly fat, especially when combined with aerobic exercise.
🍖Eating more protein may be associated with a lower risk of belly fat. Increasing your protein intake can decrease appetite, lower calorie intake and preserve muscle mass.
😴Getting enough sleep may be associated with decreased appetite and hunger, as well as a lower risk of weight gain. Seriously if you’re not resting enough, your body will tell you.
🙏🏻 If you took you 20 years to put on sole excess body fat, better believe it won’t come off in 7 days. Trust the process and be consistent with your journey. The results will come!
🔂Cycle through all the steps above day in and day out!!!! The only way this process is going to work is if you stay true to yourself and your plan. There will be days that you may fall off but that’s ok!! That’s life! 🙆🏼♂️ You just have to jump right back on the train! 😁
🤰Bloating. What an absolute pain for many people. Makes you feel uncomfortable in more ways than one.
But what could be causing it? 🤔
Well, there are literally loads of things that could cause bloating and not necessarily the same thing will cause it each time ✖
🍴Food intolerances and certain food types that are harder to digest can be a cause. You can try keeping a food and bloat diary and correlate to see if there are any patterns.
😬Salty foods, drinking fizzy drinks, drinking with a straw and even eating too fast can also be causes.
👩⚕If you're worried about bloating and in pain with it, you should make an appointment to see your doctor for peace of mind.

I really should have snapped a picture when I started the gym at 235 pounds or when I quit drinking soda at 250+ pounds.

I’ve been beating myself up about gaining weight back. I honestly forgot how far I’ve come. I’m excited to lose the last 10 pounds and eat back to my original goal weight of 135. 🌹 #weightlossjourney#weightlosstransformation
Back to training tomorrow after a couple of days off due to my shoulder and let me be honest not looking forward to it because I know I’m going to die and probably throw up, but all I know is I have been going crazy not being able to train and at times felt like my shoulder hurt more because I wasn’t able to train. My eating has definitely not been good during those days off, not because of the quantity but because of the quality. But now I’m ready to pay for it and work even harder to be fitter and stronger after a nice restful couple of days, I know my body needed it especially my shoulder but now it’s back to business because this body won’t be created in its own. My point is looking and feeling good is hard work and it’s not about doing a hard session day in day out it’s about training and and eating well because it goes hand in hand. Nursing an injury is never fun nor easy but it’s about getting back up and getting shit done because you remind yourself how far you have come. Motivation isn't going to carry you 💥 you need to make the choice to do the things you keep procrastinating - that's what's going to determine your success 💯 push through the moments when you don't want to get up and move or when you don't want to meal prep.
