19 days until Fight Day! Today has been a little rough. The weather here in Jersey has dropped like 10 degrees and I’ve been fasting the whole day except for 3 boiled eggs and black coffee. Determined to reach 148 lbs by tomorrow (weight class is 132 lbs). “Preparing for a fight is fun!” said nobody ever😂

It’s very satisfying helping patients heal their gut, but it’s super fun working with athletes, mostly because I am one!
I’ve been there and done that, in my last fight I cut 9kg (20lbs) so I understand the struggle and want to make it as easy as possible.

After my WBC title win I was asked quiet a lot about how I don't cut weight for fights. I will tell anybody who wants to listen, because this is a serious issue in combat sports that needs to be changed. A lot of people see it as an advantage, but it is far from it. 2 years ago my walk around weight got as high as 69kg, and I was fighting anywhere from 58-62. I was running and doing pad work everyday, that's it. My last loss was in April 2016, where I then added strength and conditioning into my training program twice a week @momentumvsports and twice a week on my own, CONSISTENTLY even when I wasn't fighting. I stopped long distance running. Everything I did was fast, explosive and powerful all of which are connected to the sport of Muay Thai. You cannot be those 3 things whilst doing endurance training, you are training the wrong energy system. So, long story short I now sit at 63kg and fight at 61. I eat more than 2 people combined (clean) and still have my cheeky @grilldburgers 🤤 It is possible, and it can be done. Strength training does NOT make you heavy, it makes you STRONG AF!
