To quote lauryn Hill, “I just feel like sharing...”. I’ve avoided using the term, “obsessed,” when it comes to breadmaking—it’s used a lot, and for good reason. I’d prefer passion, as I love it, but I don’t spend every waking moment poring over formulas and recalculation. Whatever it is, I am certainly hooked— hitched in, in what I see as becoming a long term relationship. After 2 solid 60 hour #bakerylife work weeks each, and I have 2 weekend days off, and it takes approximately 24 hours to bring a loaf from start to finish, and I’m not happy with my 2 past weekend bakes, so decide to whip up another 2 levains to bake off 3 loaves tomorrow...I may have just made it officially into obsession. *YOU MIGHT BE BREAD-OBSESSED IF...!* Also, when I hit the books, my go-to fave is this one. She has only one sourdough recipe in here, which is named, The Ploughman. I love her book, because it is true balance: technicality+poetry.
