What you do after your workout is just as important as what you did during it! If not more so..
I’ve heard it in variety of ways, but still the same basis:
What’s the most effective way to burn fat?
I want to lose weight?
Can you spot reduce?
My response: building muscle burns fat!
If you’re partaking in any type of resistance training and aren’t adequately replenishing your body with the proper nutrients it needs afterwards you’re missing out on the biggest part of the process: R E C O V E R Y
When you’re lifting weights or placing physical stress on your body during a workout you are breaking down muscle tissue. Therefore what you do post workout matters exponentially. Whole foods can only do so much for you during that time as your body is already trying to recover with what you just put it through and now is being forced to convert food you just gave it into the things it actually needs (protein/glucose) to replenish your energy stores and repair the damage you’ve done to your muscles.
That’s why I have my post workout shake after every workout! (((ROOTBEER FLOAT IS MY FAVE))) @1stphorm’s Phormula-1 & Ignition was specifically designed for this purpose. They’re both made to absorb quickly throughout the body to allow you the most effective uptake of protein and nutrients. Plus it’s sooo convenient
BETTER RECOVERY - BETTER RESULTS - MORE GAINS!
Point being, the more muscle your body has in it the more calories it’s able to burn at rest a.k.a more fat loss!
TGIF!! (I know it’s actually Saturday but my weekend starts tomorrow so just go with it 😉) I started my day off with a 7.15am class at my fave @studio_pilates which I am OBSESSED with might I add!
