Eight years ago we were in white graduating high school. This weekend you wore white to marry your best friend. I’m so happy for you and Serg, and so thrilled to have been there from the start ❤️ #weddingbells#tbt#latergram#ashtagsergio
What better place to ask my soon to be sister in law to be my bridesmaid than in Vegas!?❤️ now I have a maid of honor and 1 bridesmaid ready for mine and Cody’s big day in 2020😍
Ignore me I look awful🙈
Ya’ll don’t know how happy my heart is to finally have my @southernbigot back for a week —annnnd getting to see my extended fam is the bestest ;D Chris and his buddies took us white water rafting in the Colorado mountains which had some seriously breath-taking views! We’ve got a couple more tours to check out before the rehearsal tomorrow —it’ll be legit 🤘🏼 #itskindofabigottdeal#weddingbells
I had the honor of witnessing something so special and endearing these last 48 hours...my mom marrying her longtime boyfriend Derek. To an outsider looking in this may seem like no big deal or any other wedding, but this union represents so much more than that. For the past 13 years I’ve seen them grow as a couple and build a relationship that completely fulfills both of them. I’ve seen them overcome hardships such as my mom’s heart attack and my grandmother’s late-stage dementia, accepting these challenges head-on, together, refusing to let it force them to miss one beat. I’ve seen Derek step in and care for my grandmother as though she were always in his life and pouring her full of the love he already had for my mom..rolling his sleeves up when it matters most to help my mom in whatever way he can. Most importantly, I’ve seen these two bust through every barrier society could’ve placed before them due to preconceived notions of who can be in successful relationships..and I’m so glad they did!
They have a few significant differences but that’s never once bothered either of them and it damn sure never bothered me. As long as my mom is happy, so am I..and he’s always made her happy. He’s exactly what she needs..and that’s something.
Our wedding party was quite the vision of diversity as well...so different in age, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, appearances, and a bunch of other categories...but we were all together in unity and love with a shared purpose. It was inspiring and beautiful to see..so needed in these a$$ crazy times.
Love doesn’t have a color and love doesn’t divide..it unites and strengthens.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!! Our celebrations have been perfect and you both looked amazing!! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and harmony!! I love you both so so much!!❤️❤️
