Remember the modal inside a modal story I had posted last week? Tonnes of reply, many great ideas! Almost everyone who messaged said “I’m not an expert 😊” but definitely had good ideas. So, I narrowed down to this one. Since the content inside the second modal is a lot, cannot simply replace the existing content in those small cards you see in the carousel. The only right way to avoid the modal inside inside a modal is have the content slide in, and have a back button on the top left. This idea was giving by many many people. I made this quick prototype to show how it would look. Hope you all learned something, I sure did! 👍🏼

Well, this week’s #wednesdaywisdom certainly took us for six! 🤯 We’re big fans of the burger menu here at @teamfishtank but you can’t ignore those stats. You know what this means? It’s time to do some testing! Just another example of big changes we’re seeing in #appdesign#digitalmarketing and #ux. Have you had any unexpected results lately? We’d love to hear some of your stories. Drop them in the comments if you have any! 👇

💻 Coding sunset 🌆
☕️ Hello people! This week I am writing Java, plenty of Java. Task of the week was to generate dynamic Sitemaps for our multilingual Spring application. SEO is really important nowadays even if it’s an annoying task for developers!
🚀 Today I completed the implementation, as well as the corresponding Unit tests (JUnit). Now my PR will go through QA testing and then I can merge it to Master which automatically creates a deployment to production.
👉🏻 What are you working on this week?
React’s Context API
I’ve heard people say it’s going to replace Redux hmm not anytime soon. I don’t think it’s easier than using Redux. In fact, it’s a lot messier and definitely not scalable. Won’t be using it over Redux for now.
Day #88: Yesterday I was able to set up the PHPMailer in order to work with mail. The only thing is that I wasn’t actually able to send mail. Today, I was able to fix that problem by setting up SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). This will allow you to connect apps to a separate email server such as Google or Yahoo. I took my google account and generated a special password within the settings in order to allow my app to connect to my email. The GitHub for PHPMailer provides the steps you need to take in order to work with the Google Mailing service. I was finally able to get the whole email working! 😁👍🏽
At the end of the challenge, I plan on going back and focusing on Front-End Web Development. I want you guys to take part of my whole journey. My main goals right now are to become a freelancer & graduate university. On a smaller scale, I will be working on becoming a full stack developer. Once I’m done the challenge, I told myself I will try to code and work on this goal as much as I can. This is why I will be starting a 365 days of my life. This will include posts about my software engineering degree, graphic design and web development. I will get to talk more about it once I’m done the #100daysofcode challenge! Stay tuned 🌎😁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
