Being an entrepreneur is one of the scariest things I’ve done in my life. To put together recipes, products, marketing and then having the confidence to put my name out there and stamp it on my product or brand.
But being a mompreneur is even more challenging. Jax no longer goes to daycare so once again I’m a full time stay at home mom. So when do I work? It means earlier mornings and later nights and working in between naps. Juggling between time away from Jax when I need to spend time on my business and time away from my business when spending time with Jax. 2 days out of the week it’s non stop baking and then the next 2 days we’re on the road for deliveries with only one free day in the week. Most days I wish there was 2 of me!
Sometimes I have to remind myself that I have a business. I love it! I’m passionate about it! I try to work on it everyday but sometimes it gets crazy. Let’s be real...it goes according to little dude’s schedule. I do try because I know success just doesn’t happen and dreams just don’t come true. You have to make it happen and work at it every single day. So here we are, my mom bun intact, Jax wanting to cuddle because it’s almost nap time while trying to order new business cards and update my website that I’ve been needing to do for months. It literally is all about balance.
I’m thankful for having a supportive husband who cheers me on for trying to achieve my goals and dreams! Who will be willing to help me with anything when he comes home from work early (even though he’s already done 10 hours at his work) on baking days. Helping with Jax in making sure he gets dinner and his bath while I’m still working and once Jax is in bed helps me with fulfilling the rest of my orders. Without that amazing support, it would be impossible to get everything done.
Other small business, I feel you! I love going to events with small shop popups or purchasing from small shops on IG. I know how much work and confidence it took to set that up and put yourself out there. I love supporting small businesses....especially mom run ones! So all the mompreneurs out there....you guys are so rad and I’m so stoked to be a part of this community!

🔹The greatest weapon against STRESS is our ability to choose one thought over another🌟.
🔹Letting go helps us to to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. It allows others to be responsible for themselves and for us to take our hands off situations that do not belong to us. This frees us from unnecessary stress🌤.
🔹In times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive🧘🏽♀️.
🔹Stress is a physical response, the body thinks it is under attack and switches to ‘fight or flight’ mode, releasing hormones and chemicals (adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrine) to prepare the body for physical action.This can shut down digestion, minimize brain function, inhibit our ability to “think straight”, increase blood sugar levels, decrease libido, cause anxiety, depression, weight gain, and memory impairment. No fun😂.

📍Acknowledge stress and practice self awareness. 📍Laugh. All. The. Time!.
📍Exercise regularly. 📍Reduce intake of alcohol, drugs, and caffeine.
