What a disservice it is to treat love as if it were a currancy, love cannot be given or taken, it exists beyond the confines of the constaints we give it.

I love learning & Tuesday is usually when I do so. Its hard to find balance in life with the many roles we each play- but practice has been helping me with that. Balance is nice, in life & in art. 🌿
No solo el llegar allí y ver este espectáculo de la naturaleza es mágico, desde llegar a Salento e iniciar la subida al valle del cocora es un paisaje inigualable, respirar aire puro, sentir el viento es algo que no tiene precio.
@spotdessertbar in st marks has ONE vegan option and it doesn’t disappoint! cinnamon coconut monkey bread with coconut ice cream and thai iced tea syrup. 👅 wish they had non-dairy milk for boba but this was more than satisfying for my sweet tooth
This year is the year of a lot of no’s. No to anything that doesn’t give me joy. No to things to won’t make the company money, either directly or long-term. No to working the late nights and long weekends. Last year I realized we were doing so much without seeing a direct return from our efforts (physically or emotionally) so this year we’re going to try and change that! This is the year of the #ohkaleno 🙌🏼 Do you ever feel this way? Try saying no. It actually feels reeeeally good.
I don’t hike for the gram, but I definitely am motivated by the views. Oh, and the feeling of accomplishment, too. 😍 #wheressummer

If it's the beaches
If it's the beaches' sands you want
Then you will have them
If it's the mountains' bending rivers
Then you will have them
If it's the wish to run away
Then I will grant it
Take whatever you think of
While I go gas up the truck
Pack the old love letters up
We will read them when we forget why we left here

Life. It’s the humdrum, the tiny wins, the contrast, the chance upon chance to not mistake the ordinary for just something to walk past, to get though. I urge you to pay attention as you go along and exclaim, “Oh my goodness, isn’t this beautiful...” (a nod to Vonnegut)
A visit to Memphis brings you up close and personal with the Lorraine Motel, where on in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was shot on his balcony outside of room 306.
Martin Luther King Jr Day will never be the same for me again after visiting the National Civil Rights Museum, a thought-provoking museum built adjacent to the Lorraine.
Famous guests at the Lorraine included Aretha Franklin, Count Basie, B.B. King and Nat King Cole. The hotel was named by its owners, Walter and Loree Bailey who purchased it in 1942.
40 years later, a local nonprofit group saved the site from foreclosure for use as America’s first civil rights museum.
Plan on spending a good few hours to take in all the exhibits, as the museum covers the civil rights movement in the south all the way to conspiracy theories following the assassination (housed in a building across the road from the main entrance), as police began to piece together the events surrounding the murder as well as criminal suspects and witnesses to that horrific moment in American history.
Some more colorful mural art spotted in downtown Memphis, y’all. 🙌 #ilovememphis
My love affair with Memphis continues... The historic Peabody Hotel celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
A scene in The Firm (Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman) was filmed on its roof, but even cooler is the twice-daily Duck March through the main lobby to the fountain. It’s a Peabody tradition that draws a daily crowd of onlookers as five Mallard ducks make their way along a red carpet with a Duckmaster leading them on! 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 #memphis

Since (reluctantly) moving to the Palm Springs area, the desert has been teaching me so many lessons; I dare not turn my cheek to them.
One such lesson that has pierced my homesick heart with strong resonance is as follows:
Seek magic in the mundane; wildness in the simplicity; flourishing life in the arid desolation; color in the neutrals; gems in the rough. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ ✨
I may not be a quick drive to the turquoise shoreline of Malibu anymore, but I did discover a turquoise river about the same driving distance from our new spot 🙌🏻 Life is full of surprises. Like this unexpected river carved itself through a wasteland, I too must chisel my own path—be a rushing force despite and in all circumstances. I should show up in ways that aren’t beholden to worldly expectation. You are what you seek; may we seek and so become that turquoise oasis in the barren land. ✌🏻
