Hair up in a bun, favourite watch on and I make sure I feel like a warrior in my head becaaaaaaaaaaaause today is travel day 😭 - irrespective of having help around or great airline crew, long flights are a nightmare with toddlers. I start preparing myself mentally couple of days ahead 😂
-Prep 1 - remember to give zero fucks about people who stare at you when your babies cry. I mean I would do something if I could. You really think I want to be spending my time rocking and soothing a crying and helpless baby near the damn toilets? No! I want to have my champagne and watch a movie and chill in the deck lounge and hear ya’ll snore too. -prep 2- get extra extra (and extra) set of clothing and medication for in flight emergencies. Aadhu picked up a fever on board and thankfully @emirates had baby paracetamol at hand. Akhira knocked off my drink as soon as we settled in. So yes, spare clothing. - Prep 3- hydration - for me and the babies. I make sure they have enough water/liquids (thank god for diapers) and slather them with baby cream the night before. As for me, I hate flight toilets, so am bad when it comes to drinking a lot of water. I carry my moisturiser and lip balm with me.
Prep 4-My hair! 😆- use a heavy conditioner beforehand. Put hair into a bun because I don’t know how many babies I’ll end up carrying before boarding. And kids are totally capable [email protected] all your hair out. Apply gel and keep a toothbrush handy to brush back baby hair. Full on kondaikkari till babies sleep 💤
- Prep 5- PRAY! Just pray for no colic, no constipation, no ear pain, no dry nose and no boredom! @emirates is fantastic that way, lots of activity kits for the kids.
Ok wish us luck already!
