💕 #AmoLosIdiomas#Escocia#Aprendiendo ———————————————————————- As some of you know, I ❤️ languages! When I arrived to 🏴 I thought it was very curious that the name of all the lakes began with “loch” and the same thing for the whisky distilleries, with “Glen”. Doing some research I found that “loch” means lake and “glen” valley in Scottish Gaelic. Now every time I see words I don’t recognise in English I wonder what they actually mean! #LearningEveryDay#Languages#VisitScotland 💕

How about a little moody morning at the Portree Harbour on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The harbour is such a great subject for photos with the colour contrast and amazing setting. Here is a little different photo with a touch of slow exposure to create a foam-like effect on the shore.

On our last day in Scotland we travelled to West Kilbride, craft town of Scotland. We had a nice chat and toured around the village, got to know the action behind the scenes, which is always a great way to learn new things! Tomorrow we are heading home, tired but happy and brain full of inspiration. #visitscotland#westkilbride#universityoflapland#lapistakäsin
Always take the scenic route. 🌄
From coastal drives to scenic mountain passes, there are plenty of stunning driving routes across Britain ideal for a road trip 🚗. The winding Bealach na Bà road in the Scottish Highlands rises 2054ft from sea level and goes deep into the mountains, ⛰️ where a viewpoint offers glimpses of the Isle of Skye and even the Outer Hebrides. 🏞️ #LoveGreatBritain#ITravelFor#VisitScotland#RoadTrip@VisitScotland

Heading home with a big smile because the Christmas light's are back!
Scotland was made for road trips! The A82 road to Fort William was a dream. Still can’t get over how AMAZING it was 🏴🚗🛣
Scotland’s inspiring landscape is a hot topic this week in the news as @lonelyplanet placed it 5th in their Best in Travel 2019! Their editorial director, Tom Hall, couldn’t have summarised it better: "The wild landscapes of Scotland's Highlands and Islands offer the ultimate escape and visiting the region's remote areas is now easier than ever” 🙌🏻

"The Isle of Skye is a truly incredibly place, home to some of my favourite landscapes in the Scotland. Usually trips to Skye are dominated by the impressive Storr and Quiraing, but I wanted to discover and share some of the less popular locations, so headed to the Fairy Glen in the north of the island. This miniature landscape feels so out of place next the mountains that surround it, which I think all add to the enchanting and magical feeling of the place."

Glenfinnan Monument 🏴 -
In 1815, the 18m-high monument was built here, with the lone, kilted highlander at the top providing a poignant reminder of the clansmen who gave their lives to the Jacobite cause.
