It’s been just over a day since finishing the incredible Mt Guiting-Guiting Traverse w/ @shoestringtraveler ⛰🌿 The body is feeling the punishment but we have big smiles after 3 epic days in tough conditions. ⛈☀️ Right now it’s all about feet up with San Mig 🍻 listening to the waves lap at the pebbly shore meters from our Airbnb on Sibuyan Island 🏝 ...rewards. #philippines#deuter
Since elementary, I've always considered myself as a history and geography geek. Growing up, it became my quest to visit some of the world most exciting places that I only used to read in books or have seen in TV. Over the past few years, I've quite achieved much of that quest, but it seems I have disregarded my country's own historical and heritage sites in some ways or another. Yes, I have been to the Banaue Rice Terraces, Corregidor, and Intramuros to say the least in my younger days, but it felt I was overdued to do a refresher course on my Philippine History. Yesterday, before flying back to Iloilo, I decided to take strool around Intramuros and Rizal Park. Despite of intense summer heat, it was nice to feel like a tourist for the day in my own country. As I walked pass the fortress walls of Intramuros, it felt like I was transported back in the past. A past whose historical data are still engraved into my brain, but required some specific details to be refreshed. As shown in my post, a picture of Baluarte de San Diego and Manila's skyscrapers. A good representation of the city's past and the present. A reminder of our heritage and history in the face of this modern world we are in. With only a few hours to spare, I will be looking forward to join that acclaimed tour by Carlos Celdran of Intramuros. Till next time.

🇵🇭 Big Lagoon in El Nido 💦 This place Can be shot from so Many angles and it always looks beautiful! Was awesome being back here at one of the very first places We visited in the Philippines, and one of the very places that made us want to go to PH in the first place! 🙏🏼 Now over the last 7 months, we have spent a total of 3 of Them in the Philippines and have visited SO Many places!
The best part about social media is when the real social aspect comes in 🙌🏼 A few days ago, during our first Day back in El Nido, we ran into @isthisreal from Brazil, and ended up going Island hopping with him the next day, where I shot this of him climbing in Big Lagoon! Always awesome running into, and getting to know & shoot with other likeminded creatives 🤙🏼 #thefreedomcomplex
