Yoga for youth series has been postponed a week, new dates are Jan. 23rd - Feb 27th.
“One of the things I most often hear from adults, is that they wish that they had found yoga earlier in their lives to help them find the balance and skills to help them through growing up. My parents introduced me to yoga when I was 13 to help with both my competitive swimming, and the awkwardness of being the tallest person in my class. Including the teacher!
I am forever grateful for what yoga has given me and love to teach and share what I have learned with kids. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. @jivajonnilyn .
All gender Yoga for Youth 10-15 years
6 week series with Jonni-Lyn Friel
Wednesdays January 23rd-February 27th at 3:45-4:45pm
Through the practice of yoga postures, breath awareness and mindfulness techniques, yoga can help youth access skills to bring stability into their lives. These years can often be a time of change and uncertainty and yoga is a wonderful way to be able to calm the mind and center oneself. These classes will include active, fun poses as well as gentle restorative postures to help move excess energy and reduce stress. The skills learned through this series will be transferable to everyday life.
Investment: sliding scale $80-$100
What amazed me the most on the island so far is this jem! @mountwashington alpine resort! I lived in the province for 16 years and didn’t even know that Vancouver Island has skiing! But in fact it has one of the best mountains in the province with the biggest snowfall ❄️ 🎿 We throughly enjoyed it over our Christmas break and will be back there a few more times this winter! If you didn’t know, check it out!!! #vancouverislandguide
Look what arrived today! My advance copies of FIERCE by the incredible @lisa_dalrymple This book was such a joy to illustrate. Here's Marguerite de la Roque, Victoria Cheung and Ttha´naltther on the cover with more super inspiring women inside (many of whom are not widely mentioned, historically). On shelves JANUARY 29th!!

There are these points upon your body, ⠀
These magical little points, ✨⠀
That connect your energy with itself.⠀
That build it up.⠀
That settle it down.⠀
That release it.⠀
That move it.⠀
That breathe space into it and ground it.⠀
There are these points...⠀
That access parts of you that can be felt just below the surface;⠀
That can be felt to the depth of every muscle, every bone, every organ;⠀
That can be felt within the ethers in which you roam;⠀
That tap into your knowing, your spirit, the intuition of your body’s innate and ancient knowledge of healing;⠀
To that space that allows you to heal.⠀
There are these points that release the tension that comes upon your shoulders, that sits within your stomach, that clouds your very mind; the release allowing you to digest all the experiences around you as you breathe, settling into the knowing of what it is to be clear and relaxed.⠀
🌟 These magical points can bring you direction, clarity, sleep, invigoration, and an excuse for a nap (but who needs an excuse for that, really?!)…⠀
Curious about what magical points are perfect for you? I'd love to show you!⠀
Local & virtual sessions include a detailed look at the constellation that is you in the now, then the perfect points are picked and activated through needles (local only), herbs, energy work, and pressure. ⠀
Come find me through the link in my bio or send me a sweet little PM (I always love hearing from ya!)⠀
With an abundance of love 💜 & stardust ✨,⠀
PS: These magic points are covered by most health benefits under the guise of ‘acupuncture’…(local sessions only)
