There are great bars and mentors that came before it, but If you were making a family tree of the top bartenders and bar owners, the Pegu Club would definitely be right up there at the top. Audrey Saunders, with the help of Julie Reiner and Susan Fedroff, opened the bar in 2005 and it’s still going strong perched upstairs in a nondescript building on Houston st. in SoHo. If you’ve had a well made cocktail in the city you have tasted their influences. Some of your favorite bars have been opened from their alumni. Death & Co., PDT, Attaboy, Polynesian just to name a few. The list could go on. I would say these leading women in the industry really helped create the landscape of the New York bar seen as we know it today. The space is super stylish. There’s a long bar and many low lounge style tables with palms everywhere.

Primeiramente, bem vindo aos novos seguidores. Agora que estou de férias vou poder testar novas receitinhas. 💚🌱
Hoje fiz strogonoff de palmito que eu queria comer há um tempão. E ficou SENSACIONAL. E o melhor de tudo: cruelty free. .
🌱 Receita do Strogonoff de Palmito
1 Vidro de palmito (300g)
150g Molho ou extrato de tomate
50ml de água
1/2 Cebola picada
4 dentes de alho picado
4 inhames pequenos
Temperos à gosto ( pimenta do reino, fumaça em pó e chimichurri)
Modo de fazer:
When you don’t really feel like cooking, so ya just sorta go through the fridge and see what’s either left over or easy to whip up in no time, this is what I ended up with. 😍It’s not like I had a big planned out meal. So that means here, the only thing I had to cook was the spinach. I tore a few pieces, sautéed it and then pan seared a few tomatoes, with some fresh crushed garlic, then topped it all off with a few black olives and crumbles of feta cheese. Drizzled a little EVOO over it and lemon. Already had hummus, bulgur and an egg ready. And a PERFECT avo sitting around waiting to be eaten. Sometimes the less effort you put into a thing, it ends up being surprisingly good. Not bad at all. Less the cheese and eggs, you have a great vegan dish. 🌱💕👩🏽🌾 Y’all beautiful people have a wonderful night.

Delicious Alkalizing Plantain Crust Pizza with Parsley pesto:
New experiment gone horribly right!
Okay so I love pizza love love but I’m celiac and unless it’s gluten free I end up hurting myself, sharp stabbing pains in my belly no thanks 🙅🏻♀️ ...
As many of you know gluten free doesn’t always taste good or if it does is loaded with sodium and bunch of filler ingredients and added sugar (no thank you)
So recently been experimenting with different crusts as if the last crust wasn’t super easy to make this one here was even easier and OH the foodgasm is REAL 👄
Unlike most pizzas made out there this one is highly alkalizing and cleansing..: my secret ingredient of nutracleanse contains burdock root, dandelion, fenugreek, psyllium and flaxseeds.
1 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of nutracleanse
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
Pre-heat oven to 350
Cut up plantain and blend with water.
Put blended mixture in a bowl and add the nutracleanse and salt.
Bake for 10-15 mins or longer if you like it really crispy like I do. Then top and bake a little longer.
1 bunch of parsley
1 TBS of hemp hearts
1 TBS of nutritional yeast
1 handful of spinach
1/4 cup of water
1 TSP of lime or lemon juice
Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
Optional clove of garlic (not fodmap friendly)
Put all ingredients in a food processor and mix.
Top your pizza and bak another 6-10 mins so the cheese can melt.
I topped this very alkalizing pizza with parsley hempseed pesto cucumber, zucchini, spinach and vegan cheese. .
Corporations are terrified that you’re going to learn the truth about meat and stop putting money in their pockets. They know that animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than all transportation systems COMBINED. They know that sensitive, feeling animals are languishing in filthy cages before being violently killed. They also know you’re smart enough to make the right decision and stop contributing to this destruction and violence—and THAT’S why they do everything they can to keep you ignorant. Rise above the system and make today the day you go vegan.
Using these balsamic roasted cranberries again... I think this time it might be better? 🤔😁👍🏽.
There’s was a heat wave (55F) so ice cream seemed like the right thing to do! I’ve got two new blog posts up and will have the recipe for these babes up soon!
Today I had the Mexican fiesta from @soul.press as a reward for a workout well done 👌🌱
I don't always feel like exercising, sometimes it's hard to get the motivation. Today was one of those days, but I still went to gym and I still did my workout. Why?
Because no matter how I feel beforehand, once I've worked out I feel better about myself, I feel stronger, accomplished and happier. I am doing this for my health, both physical and mental. I am doing this for me. 💪
What motivates you to exercise? 🏃
With all the Christmas shopping done and dusted I can't help but wonder, what does Christmas mean to me? 🎁
To me Christmas is about celebrating family, friends and good health. A day to be grateful for the life we have and all the love that surrounds us. 🎄💚
What does Christmas mean to you? 🌠

Currently listening to the book “Big Magic” and its definitely putting a pep in my step and helping me from an inspiration stand point and I’m loving it. Often times when I’m uninspired or need a boost of motivation, I don’t wait for it to pop up. I actively seek it out motivation because if I always waited for it I feel like I would not get anywhere. How do you guys like to self motivate yourself? 🌻
Another day, another bowl of yummy oats. This time with maca and pumpkin pie spice. Topped it with some pomegranate, berries, pumpkin seeds and nibs. So satisfying. 😊

Thai red curry with tofu, noodles, zoodles and broccolini by @cookingforpeanuts 🧡
Sauté 1 small white onion (small dice) in 1 tbsp neutral oil until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 tbsp finely grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add 2 tbsp Thai red curry paste and keep mixing on medium heat, about another minute. Add 1-15oz can coconut milk and 1/2 cup water and stir. Add bite-size broccoli florets (or other quick-cooking vegetables) and extra-firm tofu (3/4 inch cubes) and simmer until broccoli is fork tender. Remove from heat and stir in 1-2 tbsp tamari/soy sauce, 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (or to taste), 1 tsp sriracha (optional) and salt to taste. (Add a little brown sugar if desired.) Topped with cashews, red chili flakes, sesame seeds, fresh basil. Served with zoodles and brown rice + millet ramen.
