Towel Tuesdays. So glad and excited to be going to a gym with my workout partner @reddladdii was mostly doing outside workouts and in home for a minute but damn does the gym feel good!! Angles, lighting and editing; a few things that can strongly alter how we look in a second.
You can see that just by changing the way I stood, my body instantly looked a little different.
This can make it easy for us to compare ourselves to others on social media.
It can create an unrealistic idea of what people look like & create toxic beauty standards.
Of course, most of us love showing the best of ourselves, so most of us do it. It’s human nature.
But I think we should be able to be honest with each other as well.
None of us are perfect, we never have been and never will be.
We are human.
We are all beautiful in our own ways.
Let’s try to embrace ourselves for who we are, nothing more and nothing less.🌙💛

”Meat is an inefficient source of calories. It accounts for 17% of global calorific intake, but uses twice that amount of land, water and feed.
Livestock also damages the environment. It accounts for between 8% and 18% of greenhouse-gas emissions, depending on how you account for changes in land use (when the Amazon is cut down for pasture, carbon emissions rise). Roughly a fifth of all the world’s pasture has been degraded by overgrazing. Livestock uses water inefficiently: you need about 15,000 litres of water to produce a kilo of beef but only 1,250 litres for a kilo of maize or wheat. Despite the cold rainy weather my kids and I have been really enjoying smoothies lately. This is mixed frozen berries and fruit blended with water and a bit of maple syrup. Easy peasy 😋
Tumeric and garlic rice+beanballs with zucchini noodles, a homemade marinara sauce and caramelized onions 🍝
I love making homemade marinara but sautéing tomatoes ether fresh or canned with garlic, diced onions, salt, herbs, paprika and a pinch of cinnamon (my secret ingredient). It’s so easy and you don’t have to open up a whole jar of sauce

A tiny Cube Of Truth event in Tallinn, Estonia being visited by a tourist group with someone dressed as Ronald McDonald definitely wasn’t a situation I expected to be in this year! 😂
Ronald had some questions and concerns about what we were showing, @_veganni_ spoke to him with kindness and compassion - he left with a card and an intention to look further into it
A simple veggie curry I made for dinner :) I started by sauteing some onions, ginger and garlic before adding in some potatoes, carrots and peppers. I covered them with some veggie stock and simmered them until the potatoes were soft. I then added in some coconut milk, curry powder, a splash of maple syrup, a bit of garam masala, and coconut aminos. I simmered that for a few more minutes before serving it with basmati rice and some chopped cilantro. Super simple and easy, but very comforting on a cold evening. ♥️

As many of you know, the past 10 years have not been easy for me. From the loss of some commrades in the military, to the overdose of my brother, to multiple car accidents, to numerous failed relationships and my own injuries overseas. It's been a wild ride and I have always made a concious effort to "not think about it," block out the negative thoughts and feelings, and bury myself in work and negative self-destructive distractions.
My diet, mental clarity, self ressiliancy, independence, discipline, routine, compassion, empathy, forethought, happiness and motivation have all been slowly drowning; turning into the mediocre dull life I have accepted as normal. I'm a shadow of the man I once was, and the person I know I can be.
I have never actually processed any of the things I have experienced, and have been outwardly projecting that pain I have deep inside, negatively onto the world around me.
I have always had trouble understanding what PTSD really is, or its effect on me, or even questioning if I deserve to feel the way I do. It effects everyone diffently. I just haven't felt normal, or very happy in a long time. To those closest to me this comes at no surprise. I knew I needed a drastic change if I was ever going to become the highest true form of my own self.
After changing my diet and lifestyle choices, I knew I was being drawn to a tropical region, where I can surround myself by like minded individuals who are truly focused on becoming the best form of themselves.
I accepted a position on a dragon fruit and honey bee homesteading operation on the Big Island of Hawaii - Tai Shan Farms! I feel a calling to get back to working with nature, to ground myself as a Man, a Human Being, and a Veteran. I feel a calling to connect with myself, my environment, and figure out what the universe truly needs from me.
This spiritual journey will hopefully give me the ability to heal my spirit, to detox my mind, body and soul, and to live the life I know I'm worthy of, and maybe help some other people along the way!

Anyone else luv falafel salads? I enjoyed every bite of this salad that had cherry tomatoes, pomegranate seeds, butter lettuce, julienned beets, a dollop of hummus + quinoa was at the bottom, with lemon vinaigrette dressing. #eattherainbow🌈

الوصفه حق شخصين .
نص ملعقه كبيره زيت
نص حبه بصل مقطع
فصين ثوم مقطعه
نص فلفل حار مقطعه (للتذوق)
نص حبه جزر مقطعه قطع صغيره
عودين كرفس مقطعه قطع صغيره
٤ حبات مشروم طازج مقطع شرايح
حبه طماطم مقطعه
نص كوب كينوا مغسوله
٣ كوب ماجي خضار مذوبه في ماء او حساء خضار من صنعك
ملح وفلفل اسود
في قدر متوسط نحمي زيت
نحمس البصل والثوم والفلفل الحار ،الجزر ، الكرفس والمشروم
نحمسهم سوا ٣ دقايق بعدها نضيف الطماطم والكينوا نقلبهم سوا دقيقتين
نضيف حساء الخضار ملح وفلفل اسود للتذوق
ونولع لنار عاليه بس يغلي نقصر النار ونغطيهم يطبخون ل ١٥ دقيقه مع بعض
اخر اضافه الحمص ونخليهم ٥ دقايق يطبخون سوا وبعدها السبانخ ونقلبهم سوا لين يذبل السبانخ وبسس .
. Serves 2
1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 onion, chopped
2 garlic gloves, chopped
1/2 red chili (or to taste), chopped
1/2 carrot, chopped into small pieces
2 celery stalks, chopped into small pieces
4 button mushrooms, chopped into small pieces
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cup quinoa, rinsed
3 cups of stock
200g cooked chickpeas
1 cup baby spinach
salt & pepper
Heat oil into a medium pot. Add onion, garlic, chili, carrot, celery and mushroom. Cook for about 3 minutes.
Add tomato and quinoa, cook for another 2 minutes.
Add stock, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer, cover with a lid and cook for 15 minutes.
Add in your chickpeas, cook for a further 5 minutes before adding the spinach.

Wir wuchsen sicher und behütet auf. Große Sorgen waren meist materieller Art. Das ständige Sehnen nach mehr Sicherheit macht uns zu Muschis 💁🏼♀️. Wo wir früher noch alle selber zur Schule gelaufen sind, fahren die Eltern von heute ihre Kinder lieber mit dem Auto hin. Es kann ja was passieren. 🤔 ich frage mich in solchen Zeiten, wie mein Großvater es hinbekommen hat durch ganze Ortschaften zur Schule zu laufen. *
Wenn ich über den Zeitstrahl der menschlichen Geschichte nachdenke, dann fällt mir auf, dass Gewalt, Verstümmelung und Mord von Anbeginn der Menschheit bestehen. Ich meine: es wurden Leute verbrannt, die rothaarig waren 👩🏻🦰!

QUAL É A SUA FRUTA FAVORITA?
VOCÊ COME FRUTA TODO DIA?
Um dos meus objetivos desse ano foi de incluir mais frutas na minha alimentação e acho que estou conseguindo. 😎
Quando eu era criança comia muita fruta com a minha mãe. O melhor dia da semana era quando íamos à feira e voltávamos com o carrinho lotado. Aí só almoçávamos frutas naquele dia de tanta ansiedade que a gente tinha em devorar aquelas delícias todas. 😋
O tempo passou, eu busquei uma alimentação mais saudável e segui algumas escolas terapêuticas que não encorajavam muito a gente comer frutas. 🤔 Porque era de difícil digestão, porque não podia misturar com outros alimentos, nem diferentes tipos de frutas, blá blá blá... Daí fui diminuindo o meu consumo. 😐
Depois de passar por atendimento nutricional e de entender a importância das frutas na minha alimentação e de recordar como eu amo essas preciosidades da natureza, minha fruteira anda lotada. E esvazia rapidinho!
E tem duas frutas que eu amo de paixão e que sempre tem em casa: uva e banana. 🍇🍌 Banana com pasta de amendoim virou o hit desse ano pra mim! Mas também amo caqui, avocado, atemóia, pera... Comer bastante fruta também me ajuda a reduzir a quantidade de açúcar da minha alimentação. Porque a doçura natural das frutinhas me deixa satisfeita, com menos vontade de doces, sabe? E quando mais frutas uso nas minhas receitas, menos açúcar elas precisam.
