We had some incredibly dramatic views on our adventures this morning! The 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and Thunder Cave all put on some impressive displays as the sun played peekaboo! 😱💙 @visitgreatoceanroad
So many doors are closing this week, as I say goodbye today not only to the Bay Area that I’ve called home for the past 7 months, but also van life. I never thought in a million years that I’d be living in a tiny home on wheels, and I also never thought I’d be leaving the state I’ve always dreamed of calling home so soon. But life isn’t about having things all figured out and thinking you know what’s best - it’s about taking a risk, trying something and being willing to say, “this isn’t for me”. These past 7 months have been some of the most challenging of my life, but they’ve also taught me so much about myself and where I’m called to be. When we jumped into van life our plan was to call California home in the end, and funny enough it led us to an entirely new country! And it never wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t gone for this crazy idea in faith. My hope for everywhere I go is to collect friendships that I carry with me after I leave that place, and I can say without a doubt I’ve done that here. To my San Francisco friends who have provided a listening ear, a homemade meal, lots of laughter, maybe too much wine, and memories I won’t forget - thank you. Our doors are open for you in Mexico, and this time we’ll have a place for you ❤️ Hasta pronto!

Guess what guys?! You asked and I’m delivering.. THE VAN IS FOR SALE!!! Whether you’re looking to escape the rent cycle, do an epic road trip or you simply just want something for your weekend getaways, look no further, this is your van! ‘HATCH’ is in immaculate condition and has just been fully converted into a cosy rustic home on wheels! I can’t explain how much time and effort I have put into this build, it’s going to be sad to see her go.

Today we went to the welders to see if we could get some of the welding work done on pig. We arrived bitting our nails and counting the penny’s in our wallet. The owner of the garage came out and was a very friendly man who had a clip board and pen at the ready. We showed him around pig showing him the parts we needed welding which he wrote down on his pad. He was very passionate about his work which was a good sign and even lay on the floor in the rain to get a good look at the underside. He even said pig looked like a good solid van which was definitely something we wanted to here after spending all our savings on her. We had a good chat and he is going to send us a rough price for the work which will be done starting next year and will go on for a few months one job at a time. Hopefully by next spring pig will be all patched up and painted ready for more adventures with us knowing at least nothing is going to rot and fall off as we drive down the road. #sarahandthebearadventures#adventure#travel#vanlifeuk#vanlife#vanlifedistrict#vanagon#westfalia#campervan#gowesty#vwt25#vwt3#vw#homeiswhereyouparkit
Happy 6-months vanniversary to us!! ❤️
Can't believe we left Seattle with our home on wheels just six months ago, feels unreal how fast the time flew by and how many incredible memories we've made already: road tripping across Canada and back, mountaineering in the Rockies, climbing up the Chief in Squamish, chasing sunsets from the shores of the Pacific to the Atlantic!
Some days it feels like we've been doing this forever and we've only scratched the surface; some days, usually when it's raining and cold and we're bored, we can't believe how bizarre it is that we live in a vehicle. There are ups and downs. So far, the ups have been more than worth the downs.
What will the next six months bring? We can't wait to find out. 😊
SWIPE 👉 Terminamos a instalação do 3TC nas laterais! 🤘
Próximas etapas: terminar o isolamento nas portas, aplicar uma manta de e.v.a no assoalho inteiro e instalar o piso de madeira, yeahhh! Será que terminamos até o final do ano?
This is what most nights really look like for me. No crazy views. No insane scenery. Sometimes there really are mountains but most nights there are just bushes in the parking lot. Ella laying at my feet and my best friend on the phone. Working on my laptop and way too much coffee for one person. It’s these moments that make living in a van feel so normal. But it’s also these quiet, normal moments where it usually hits me.. I’ve actually created this life for myself. I worked really hard and still do every day. I figured out what I wanted and I did it. It’s not impossible or just luck. You can do the exact same thing. No excuses. Just figure out what you want and get there. And whenever you doubt yourself, just look forward to the first mundane moment where it hits you and you realize you actually did it. You created your own happiness. Amazing views are cool but these moments are everything.
