one year ago today i posted a picture of myself. it was taken in a time i was looking for my future home on wheels - the perfect van. i spend hours each day reading texts about cars without understanding a single thing. completely trusting that the universe would lead me to the right van for myself. one week later, the day before my eighteenth birthday, i spend all of my money on this dream and became the owner of a yellow car with enormous green letters on it. an owner without drivers license. i never was happier.
looking back and realizing what a tough tough tough ride it was to get where i am now one year later is making me absolutely proud but sad at the same time. i am trying to soke up all of these different feelings and let them flow inside my soul, helping them getting to a place to settle down and find their peace, so i can find mine with them too. they are a part of this story and i want them here.
in conclusion i just want to appreciate the last year. i suffered a lot from the chaos inside of me but it made me to the person i am today and granted me with this beautiful new home and the possibility to earn money with the things i love the most. beyond grateful for this life right now. -------------------------------------

-our first hot spring 📍 travelled in land today to experience the gorgeous natural warm waters Ourense has to offer! 🏞 crazy to be sat in amongst nature in a hot pool! ✨ just another thing to confirm that the best things in life are free -
🙏🏻 chci na vás znova apelovat! Pokud to jde, prosím cestujte! A dělejte to často. Dělá to z nás lepší MY. Já jsem fakt nesmírně vděčná, že MŮŽU. Že i z toho mála co mám.. něco můžu. A trvalo to roky negativismu, že to nejde. Že to není reálný. Že to jsou jen nikdy nesplnitelný sny. Kecy. Jde to úplně hravě. I ty nepovedený! #rovnováha#letsgoonadventure#vancrush#vanlife#traveladdict#italy#sea#needvitaminsea#bibione#parkfornight#sleeponthebeach 🌊

hello. you fool. I love you.
it’s funny how loud the mind can get when feeling a bit tired and low energy.
I love my vehicle to listen to its wishes and needs carefully. #thankyoubody •

Today we did something we where looking forward to for a long time. We glued down our new pvc floor in a beautiful dark-grey tone. It gives a very decent contrast with the bright wooden paneling of the walls. How do you like it? 🇩🇪
If your reading this you may or may not know that Jax is a recent addition to our family. ⠀
We first started our adventure a few years back in Seattle with Brie Milo and our boxer Jasmyne.⠀
We wanted to travel as a family and didn’t feel right leaving our pets behind so we decided to dive into vanlife. ⠀
Last August our beloved boxer past and didn’t get to enjoy this part of the journey, but that just made room for another pup to join our team. ⠀
This guy is such a ham, he definitely keeps us on our toes and lives life to its fullest every chance he gets. ⠀
So far he has visited 11 states, explored mountain trails, ran on ocean beaches and just today he got to experience snow for the first time. ⠀
What a journey he has had thus far, I’m so excited to show him all that vanlife has to offer. ⠀
Happy Easter! 🥚🎉
We had some good vibes with our family and friends camp in denmark. 🌼👨👩👧👦
What is the bearded guy doing on our tent roof? 🧐

How looks like your home when you’re in Greece. Sunglasses recommended. Please like this picture even if there is no half naked girl in bikini laying on the bed. Thank you.

When you live on the road you get asked “what’s your favorite place you’ve visited so far?” pretty often. Usually when we get that question we start spouting off random cities and mountain passes that we’ve seen, but truth is, the places that have left the biggest impressions aren’t usually special to us because of their beauty or magnitude.
Truthfully we’ve found that our favorite places have been defined by people and experiences rather than bucket list locations.
The unexpectedly hospitable people of Maine, the mind blowing tacos in Texas, the dog friendly beaches in Florida where we spent too much time running and lounging during the winter, the mysterious (and still somewhat secret) beauty of Idaho, the countless new and old friends we’ve seen in small towns and major cities between the Pacific and Atlantic.... these are our favorite places.
The places that make us laugh and cry are the ones that deserve a pin in the map on our wall. Our memories are often carved by strong emotions and our favorite places we’ve visited are inevitably linked to these same strong emotions. So if you ask us what our favorite place is so far, we may say some unexpected place purely because we have a favorite memory somehow associated with those random geographic coordinates.
EN // At first it wasn't out plan to go into Turkey during our roadtrip but we are so happy to have taken this decision. The country is so green with lots of pins trees, the cost and beaches really beautiful gave us incredible hikes! On this shot, going down in a small valley by the sea with again flowers everywhere !
Being #earthday why not talk compost toilets: I have read a lot of varied opinions & viewpoints on the advantages/disadvantages of incorporating these into a build. With all the motocamping I do, I have simply grown use to utilizing the outdoors, rest stops, campgrounds, etc to do my business.
When it came to designing this van build, I was on the fence in deciding if this component should or should not be included. I decided it is an amenity worth adding & ultimately chose to include it in Modelo to be utilized in extreme situations only. It has not been used & most likely won’t. But, you never know when that extreme situation will come calling.
With every square inch of space desperately needing to be utilized in the most logical way, I am still unsure this component is worth sacrificing what could be used more efficiently in another fashion.
I get asked a lot about community on the road. "Don't you get lonely?" "How do you make friends?" My honest answer is no, I don't get lonely. And making healthy, deep connections on the road has never been an issue. To be frank, I have to make it a priority to set aside time to be alone. There is an abundance of people that are living on the road and my experience is that we all want to connect. Between gatherings, spotting other vans when parked, and social media, community is out there. And this community is warm and welcoming and eager to know each other.
The other day, I was asked a simple question when catching up with a friend. "How is your heart?" And I can't think of any question more representative of the types of relationships I have found on the road.

》》》What a view ⛰😍☀️
This easter, we discovered the Julian Alps in Slovenia/Italy. This pic was taken while we were driving up an adventurous road from Austria over a summit to reach the next valley, the Triglavski National Parc. We can really recommend this region, very quiet with untouched nature.
Where did you do over Easter? Any new discoveries? 😊

These two have so much passion for living life to the fullest, traveling to new places and creating a lifestyle to live on their own terms. This is their 2017 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4x4 144” wheelbase that they converted on their own. Click the link in our bio to get a tour inside.
A van that really has it all - convertible bed/table area & a HappiJac bed lift for a SECOND bed to sleep 4 people total, double bench seat, a full bathroom, beautiful kitchen with a farmhouse sink, upper storage and a wardrobe.

Still amazed that I made my dream become a reality. I had so many plans in my head on how to build out and design my van. There were a few bumps along the way but eventually my vision came to life!
