Health benefits of drinking coffee.
A cup of coffee in the morning may provide more than just an energy boost.
Health benefits, say some researchers, may range from helping prevent diabetes to lowering the risk of liver disease.
With over 400 billion cups of coffee thought to be consumed every year, coffee is one of the world's most popular drinks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The potential health benefits associated with drinking coffee include protecting against type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, liver disease, liver cancer, and promoting a healthy heart.
Also, studies have suggested that coffee may:
help prevent premature death
protect against cirrhosis
reduce the risk of multiple sclerosis
protect against colorectal cancer
Who has been to Vancouver? We finally arrived today, it’s a city I have been wanting to visit for years! It’s quite different to how I imagined (I was thinking Auckland but I’m actually getting more New York vibes?) but I’m in love already! So many incredible places to eat and drink too, Alex is very happy as he likes to try local beers and there are a lot of breweries here... you can even spend the day doing a guided brewery tour (I have told him no, we booked a whale watching trip instead 🐳)
We tried the @flyovercanada which is where you sit in a seat and watch a big screen in front of you, you literally feel like you’re flying over Canada! We also went up the @vancouverlookout at sunset and watched the city turn from day to night which was stunning (I never knew Vancouver was surrounded by so many mountains!). We had a ginormous dinner of nachos and apple pie (who wouldn’t?!) and explored the Gastown neighbourhood which is just 10 mins from where we are staying at the @thedouglas_van (I am obsessed with this place already). Tomorrow we are off to Stanley Park, it’s a couple of miles from our hotel so we are taking the trip on one of these cute trollies 😍😍
Europeans became acquainted with the area of the future Vancouver when José María Narváez of Spain explored the coast of present-day Point Grey and parts of Burrard Inlet in 1791—although one author contends that Francis Drake may have visited the area in 1579.
The explorer and North West Company trader Simon Fraser and his crew became the first-known Europeans to set foot on the site of the present-day city. In 1808, they travelled from the east down the Fraser River, perhaps as far as Point Grey.
