The cushions for the couch/bed in the van are done! We finished them about 36 hours before we left Wisconsin. It’s an L shaped couch frame that pulls out to make almost a queen size bed. .
Brittany was super excited to put the Star Wars pillows in the van. We have Yoda and Chewbacca in the airstream and now Darth Vader and R2D2 in the van! Another great Amazon find! .
We wanted a queen size bed in our Promaster campervan. We also didn’t want to build it into the van. We wanted an easy, removable option. We used a heavy duty frame bought off Amazon and with a slight modification it fits perfectly for what we want. It fits flush against the back doors with room for our kitchen and sink area which is next..
It's starting to look so cozy in our van after getting the mattress on its place 🏠✨ Remember to check out the newest van build episode on YouTube to find out more 🚐 •
Alkaapa pakussa näyttää jo kodikkaalta, nyt kun patjakin saatiin paikoilleen 🏠✨ Muista kurkata eilinen, uusi jakso YouTubesta, jos et jo ehtinyt 🚐 •
Are you guys ready for another #gearthursday post?
No, this post is NOT about green cozy socks 😊 but as the winter weather is upon us, I thought I would share with you a winter game changer;
We recently added an #electrowarmth mattress heating pad to our #vanbed and it’s amazing! This 12v DC thermostatically controlled heating pad sits on top of our mattress, right under our bodies gently warming us and the cocoon created between our mattress and our @gorumpl down comforter. -
A full night of warmth from this heating pad adds great comfort while using very little energy, barely making a dent in our 200ah @victron_energy lithium battery. -
The heating pad is about 36" wide and 60" long, drawing a maximum of 6.2 amp. The actual draw will be much lower depending on the ambient temperature and the temperature setting you've selected. -
We'll be using on its own or to supplement our cabin heater (when it's finally installed). -
It's a great solution to keep you warm!
Working on our pull out bed frame. This design seemed like the best option for a multipurpose build like ours. I still need to be able to carry lumber, tools, and materials for work. I can fit many sheets of 4'×8' ply, or drywall, and 2"× lumber up to 12' with this setup.
I'm posting these to help the #vanlifeexplorers who are still building, keeping it simple helps. This is my removable #vanbed , the whole bed frame drops in place on top of steel pins. With this setup the whole bed can be easily lifted straight up and set under the stars. 🌠⭐🌠🌛🌠⭐ These totes are great for all sorts of things (awesome for wetsuits ) so I made the frame around them, six total under the bed. This setup was easy, inexpensive, #diy and should be strong enough for a few bears to roll around on. 🐻❤🐻 all the rough edges are rounded off sanded smooth , then finished off with some natural oils #surflifestyle#vanbuild

The fabric store down the block from us is going out of business. We stopped in and picked out this really cool fabric. I really like how it looks maroon from angle and blue from another. It will be used to cover our mattress/ couch cushions in the van. Now, if we can figure out my sewing machine, we'll have a bed.

When life gives you feathers, hang them from a dowel.
Back on a project! #vanbed pullout. I’m going to fashion these here boards into a nifty pullout to extend the sleep platform in the #rampromastercity. I’ve been planning on using the table but I’m opting to try the pullout method instead. No pun intended. I’ll let ya’ know how it goes.
