The rough hewn timber floors and this fireplace at Tomboy Tavern had us at hello! We’ll be here for a ski lunch at mountain village with @ski_souls on Tuesday. If you haven’t followed them yet go do it right now! They’re such an amazing company! Summer camp for adults except it’s winter! “Solo but not alone.” #toddnicholsphotography#telluride#telluridephotographer
“Not I, nor anyone else can travel that road for you. You must travel it by yourself.
It is not far. It is within reach.
Perhaps you have been on it since you were born, and did not know. Perhaps it is everywhere - on water and land.” —Walt Whitman 📷 @jojulia@emmeruth ..... I usually only post photos of myself and my adventures on this page and leave the photos of my son for my personal account or the account I made about him, @deargraysoncole.
However, have you ever had a moment where you truly realize, the road you’re traveling is one you’ve been on since you were born? You realize, for years, things have been falling perfectly into place and you didn’t see it until now? Well, that’s where I’m at on the road I travel. I finally realize, everything that’s ever taken place in my life has led me to exactly where I’m supposed to be doing exactly what I’m meant to do. It’s intimidating in its own way when you realize your path has been mapped out for years and years but it’s absolutely awe inspiring when you figure it out. My son is my marker in this journey. He is piece that made the puzzle makes sense and he is the driving force behind what has basically been my life’s work whether I knew it to be that or not. He is the reason I fight to change the statistics of death due to drowning/elopement in children with Autism using my area of expertise in training Autism Assistance Dogs. I am so thankful for this amazing road I get to travel and I’m thankful for my son who led me on a journey that I hope will change the world 🧩
