Scenes from our pottery workshop at Cerámicas Yuma in La Bisbal. La Bisbal is Spain's pottery capital due to the quality of its clay and its great tradition of craftsmanship. We really enjoyed taking in all that the city has to offer! #inCostaBrava#Travel#Spain

There are three things that a child can teach an adult: To be happy for no reason; to be always busy doing something; And to know how to demand – with all one’s might – what one wants.
- Paulo Coelho🌐
Whilst travelling across south america, I have met countless children that live with very little: no toys, limited food in both variety and quantity, and in dirty, old clothes. 👕🧢
Despite this, I have met some of the happiest kids I have ever seen; full of joy and infinite love.👼💗
This little guy in the photo was so shy and scared when we arrived at his home to buy some veggies from his mom’s garden. 🥕🌽
It took only one smile to start a game of hide and seek with him. After almost 30 mins of playing around we had to leave.😞
The hug he gave me before I left melted by heart. 😍
If you are traveling as well, I would recommend you bring in a bag of candy with you.🍬 I often saw kids on the way and they were so happy to have these little treats - a luxury they rarely receive.
These small gestures can very often make their day and yours too - making it that little bit brighter.🌞 What is the most memorable story you have had with kids on your trip?

Meikle Ferry. Known for a disaster which happened on an August Saturday in 1809, when the ferry tried to cross the canal while overloaded with people, against people’s complaints. 99 of the passengers died, carrying all of their trade and crafts for the year, taking it to the market across. Everyone in the area was affected by the tragedy.

Farr Bay. It really is so very far up north, there are not even dog walkers around. Haha
The sun sets on the flat nothingness of the Sahara desert. It is the largest hot desert in the world and one of the least populated parts of the world. 11 countries in sub Sahara Africa are building a green wall to prevent the desert from spreading into their countries. If we could terraform the entire desert, it could bring prosperity to a poorer part of the world. However it might have dire environmental pacts. Life often gives us hard choices, the prosperity of some in sacrifice of other's prosperity.
The light in Iceland is just something special. You know that Golden hour that comes just for sunrise and sunset? It’s here all the time. The sun sits low in the sky and makes everything beautiful all the time. I highly recommend visiting Iceland this time of the year. It’s shoulder season so there are less tourists but the roads are still relatively. Also Iceland has TONS of resources so you can check and make sure you’re good to go. #heleneiniceland
