Heavy snow ❄️ and nachos here in The peaks this evening! We have plenty of supplies inc gin & milk so we’re not gonna starve! 😜
I made black bean nachos @deliciousmag Jan for us adults and a mild slow cooker pulled beef version for the boys as we love a veggie dinner and some hefty spice.
To healthy this up, I cut up tortilla wraps and baked them instead of using the usual packet tortilla chips and they went down a storm. We all had our own individual nacho plates so everyone could top with what they fancied.
Mr H said he was like a Pavlov dog waiting for me to dish up 🐕🤪😂 I’ll take that as a compliment lol.

Dinner is beef casserole 🥘 and vegetables with barley. Not bad for a heat n serve dinner 🍴 Thank you microwave 👍
One problem though, the plastic container it came in, which you would think you could recycle, can't be recycled because it is black in colour and the sorting mechanism at the recycle centre won't recognise it... #packagingfail .

So the idea was "Let's introduce our young'uns to old fashioned TV Dinners...just like the ones our parents fed us as kids." (BTW In case you were wondering, none of the packages are aluminum sealed)
Look carefully at the nutritional data. Sweet jeepers this stuff is 100% Grade A American Made poison. Still, at $2.99 each what can you expect.

Um pouquinho de vida privada....Jantar em menos de 15 minutos, uma frigideira só.
Refogar cogumelos Paris com azeite e....Molho da Mesa. Deglacei com vinho pra fazer um molho mais fundo. Um pouquinho d'água pra dar volume ( se tivesse caldo de legumes....). Tampei a frigideira, piquei um pouco de queijo da Canastra da @gourmet_deli Botei lá e tampei de novo. Derreteu em blocos!!! Abri dois buracos e dois ovos da @granjadouro se deitaram neles. Pimentinha do Reino, tampei de novo.
Gosto de gema mole, pão levemente torrado.
Num restaurante ganhava nome chiquérrimo e preço lá nas alturas.
Aqui em casa sirvo usando as bandejas de colo da @_iamhome e...lá vem um seriado!
I had A LOT of leeks in the fridge which I managed to shoehorn most of in to this risotto for me, Z and Esme. The leeks were sweated down with butter and garlic then finished off with loads of pecorino, sundried tomato, fresh dill and toasted pumpkin seeds. Esme tentatively accepted mouthfuls whilst watching Igglepiggle (the leeks were a little slimy for her) and I ate mine amorously with a large spoon😋
To welcome our new friends from @parishbrewingco we made a Cajun TV Dinner tonight with Roast Beef Debris, Boudin Balls, Shrimp and Eggplant Casserole, Braised Greens and a Bourbon Raisin Bread Pudding. We picked up everything they’re offering on day one in Houston. "Salisbury Steak Dinner (with mushroom gravy)" is the 2nd piece of my new "TV Dinner" series. This one includes green beans, tater tots and (if you've been good) a chocolate brownie. It’s part of the first new series I've done in about 2 years. Made up of Italian glass (smalti), marble and white gold the piece measures 16" x 20" x 1.75" and weighs 30 lbs.
